What he failed to realize is that all of life, everything on earth, is an aesthetic phenomenon. I used to be afraid of aging, but when I saw this experimental art piece where people placed a giant crochet bunny in the Italian alps to rot and decay, I realized even aging is nothing to fear. To watch a beautiful thing slowly disintegrate and disappear is beautiful in itself. There is something beautiful and artistic about a hunched over old man and it's a different kind of beauty than an instagram model, and even the outcast loser has his own kind of strange beauty that is hard to capture on film.
