Unless the point of your study was to train your eye and copy something as closely as possible, rather than drawing to understand the subject, or it's colours, or what have you, then I don't think this is a problem.

So long as your study looks good, and captured what you were trying to study, and you learnt from it, that's what matters.
For example, if you're doing a hand study to learn how to properly construct a hand, and its anatomy, who cares if it's 1:1 to your reference material? So long as the anatomy is correct, and you learnt how to better construct the hand, that's what's important.

yeah, it's good to try your best and try to match the reference as a beginner, it trains your observational skills

later on, it's better to actually design rather than copying the reference exactly how it looks, this helps a lot when you start creating character concepts

Yeah, that's an important part of the learning process. It'd argue eye/brain training is more important than understanding & interpretation in the beginning.

if it made you feel good, then that's what matters, of course, if you noticed the difference too, then that's just as important because it's self-awareness of one's work

>"PYW!"
>They post their work
>Pretend the interaction didn't happen
Why are pyw posters such pathetic flaccid losers? You could at least compliment their work and admit they have the skills and authority to back up their comments.
Or, hell, comment on why you think their work shows they DON'T have such authority.
Just not saying anything when someone meets your challenge is just so fucking weak.

This is /ic/, we don't post artwork or critique here we just shitpost and goon to naked models

All they want to do is snipe from the sidelines. Their demands were never serious from the start.

i see the shin-ichi sakamoto influence, tho everything outside the face being so sloppy really drags it down, if you are not gonna properly texture n detail the hair focus on at least giving it a good outline n keep it pure white for negative space, the scribbly shading on it is jarring
