>>7770316>KamvasAll chinese tablets are cheaply made garbage. All of them are prone to failure, have non-existent support, line inconsistency, pressure inconsistency, nib wobble, non-existent calibration.A Huion is not a valid alternative to a Samsung on any planet. It is a vastly inferior product and a reliability nightmare. A complete waste of space and money. To anyone reading, avoid Huion and XP-Pen at all costs. Don't fall for the scam. They are genuinely awful pieces of trash, and destined for landfill.
>>7770330oh no, not the schizo again!
>>7769856okay I decided on getting a 11~12inch tabletI'm between the Huion frego M and the HS611supposedly the frego has a better pen but, does that really affects in any way or is it just snake oil?I wonder about things the OP and >>7770330say, is that really the case? I've never tried any other drawing tablet besides the one I have that was the cheapest huion I could find back in the day and I've been quite happy with it besides the sizeattached pic is a quick scribble going from pressing soft to hard and stuff, no stabilization, no curve pressure, no nothing, be honest dudes, how bad is it?
Are 'third party' pens worth the trouble for ipads?
is a 27 inch monitor and wacom pro m screenless tablet a good match
>>7770590last time i checked them out about a year ago, they were all worse and had less features than the apple pencil.>>7770727it's fine but a large tablet would be better

I just want a good screen display/tablet that's in the 19-22 inch range preferably with a 16:10 or even 4:3 aspect ratio
Inspiroy 2 L or Inspiroy 2 Dial?

Fellas I plan to wipe my PC clean and instal EndavourOS. How do Huion Tablets play with Linux? Will I have any kind of issue if I want to use Clip Studio?
>>7772656not sure about endavaourOS but if its a huion that was released last year or something should work out of the box, specially if on kde+wayland, not even driver required

Are there any display tablets that doesn't leave you glued to the wall outlets?
>>7776162if you have the right USB-C cable and USB-C port, some modern ones can power and display the screen at full brightness with one cable. some need 2 cables, 1 for data and an extra USB for full power & brightness, but no wall outlet.https://docs.thesevenpens.com/drawtab/guides/connections-and-cabling/connecting-a-pen-display-with-one-usb-c-cable
Can confirm that the Dell Canvas operates without issue on WIndows 11. For those who want a cheaper Wacom 27" you can get one used for very cheap since they don't make them anymore. It uses older Wacom tech, so universal Wacom pens will work with it no problem. Pair that with the Canvas' adjustable stand, external monitors, and a shortcut key remote, and you got an endgame setup.
thank you shillbot
Any thoughts on this for a first tablet? Anything I should be getting with a portable tablet besides a case for obvious reasons?https://estore.wacom.com/en-us/wacom-movinkpad-11-dtha116cl0z.html
>>7778165I wouldnt recomend it, that APU is super slow.

How important/convenient are shortcut buttons on a screenless tablet? I can get a One by Wacom Medium (216 x 135 mm) for cheap but it has no buttons except the 2 on the pen.
>>7778479some people use them, other never do. No one will give you the answer fitting your workflow. I much prefer keyboard, or another separate device with keys.
>>7778479keyboard/key pad/remote control is way more convenient and ergonomicnone of the tablets have enough buttons and they are often placed in an awkward position.
>>7774059I installed a paperlike on my ipad and the scratches on it started to show day one. I assume it's just like, the downside of the texture
>>7779410Personally for my Ipad I've been using an 8bitdo, the stupid small oneNo issues other than the shortcut I made for brush sizes in Procreate just not working. I assume it's a Procreate issue with the thing handling the specific keys in a way that the keyboard mode of the controler dooesn't do. For Clip Studio it just works and if it doesn't I can just go to the settings and change the shortcut
I've been using screenless for two years and i still feel I haven't gotten used to it.Or maybe im just bad at drawing, but it feels slippery and I can't really make proper lines with my hand. I dont even know at this point.
>>7779467try a felt nibtape paper to the surface for more frictionangle the tablet up for a more comfortable wrist anglemake sure "force proportions" settings in on
>>7778473what do you mean by hover?
do i use srgb color space in my monitor settings
>>7778479keyboard is infinitely better for me it has more buttons, i tried switching to a 10 keys but it doesn't have enough buttons for my use case
>>7779467as the other anon said paper can help with stabilizing your line, another tips i can mention is to use stabilizer and rotate your canvas, some angles are just impossible to draw cleanly without rotating
So wacom movinkpad 14 came, here is photo with my 13 inch ipad air m2. Screen - another league compared to air, much nicer colors, device feels super fast despite M2 wining in benchmarks due to faster refresh rate. Wacom pens feels somehow very cheap, apple pencil is heavier, with paperlike screen protector offers more feedback yet i had no problems with using wacom pen, almost immediately every line felt like i was using it for a week or two. Wish it had more resistance tho, tried switching nibs and there is 3 types included, almost no difference for my. i was worried about screen aspect ratio but its almost same height as ipad, with more width, more space for tools. Battery life looks to be ok, lack of fingerprint scanner is anoying, speakers are trash. And in Nomad sculpt touching screen with wacom pen crashes app
>>7779572i'm interested. can you move your files to a desktop and convert them to a psd? I don't really care for csp, i'm too used to photoshop.
>>7779572God I wish this was 4:3
>>7779593its stock android with few things from wacom, they seems to be balls deep into CSP so things like wacom app for drawing have CSP integration, also they gave you 1 year of CSP. It have stock android file system so you can transfer files where you want. >>7779600i think screen is sourced from samsung galaxy tab ultra series, same size, this width is perfect for me, i can get toolbar on left, small window with reference and have space for drawing, with ipad that small window with reference was too much for that screen size. But i have to admit, 4:3 with 15inch would be nice
>>7779572too expensive for something that's going to last 3 years
What's a good brand of screen protectors for tablets? And are matte surfaces just a preference?
any recs for screenless pads with tilt?
>>7779545pen "hovering" - pen draw itself after you end drawing line. Its common issue with pw100 pen and other non wacom tech pens; my broke after 1 month of usage, so im struggle with it until self repair.Demonstarion of issue (non my): https://m.youtube.com/shorts/A8p8Uhb3MSUAlso its soo anoying what all tablet reviews soo shilled everywhere, find real one its almost impossible all nuances is silenced like:"surface is paper like" - buy 30Db earmuffs and 100+ plastic tips lol (you can beat that jewish move with separate surface or polyester glass surface/a4 sheet)"compact pen" - pen too thin, hello RSItails at end of strokes, whach closelly how he draw line 7:00-7:10 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WXvc_GneF3A&pp=ygULZ2FvbW9uIG0xMGs%3D - fucked presure sensitivity + guaranted diagonal woobles"cool desing 10+99999 buttons" - there is no good points so here some uselles buttons for you, goy"10-45 degree tablet angle" - hello RSI (like in new wacom intuios or whatever 2025"usb-c in on top of tablet" - easy to broke"you can configure pressure curve 4 yourself" - fucked pressure curve, hello RSIbad polyester surface (hello xencelabs aka UGEE for 200$) - another planned obsolence, use polyester sheet
>>7779838You can use transparent plastic glass (PMMA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poly(methyl_methacrylate) that Walmart or any other store uses for holding paper price tags, (you can glue with electrical tape or glue) OR use official one / transparent screen protector for tablets (be aware if texture of tablet is "paper like" sceen protector will not be glued (!))

should i get an ipad or a display tablet

I'm a /beg/ and I'm curious if the difference between wacom and one of the cheap chinese tablets like huion is something I'll even notice. Also a linux user(mint) so I'm trying to ensure any tablet I get will play nice, and I've seen people say huion just works fine out of the box
>>7770114i’m using an Intuos Pro that i recently bought sealed (it was cheap and it’s the 2017 version)i absolutely love this thing and drawing on it is the best, coming from an 2022 iPad Probut holy fuck, it is EATING my nibs like crazyafter one evening there is already a flat spot and i’ve used up half of the replacements in two monthsis this normal? i’m trying to have a very light touch, but when painting it’s kinda hard to keep it low when you’re working with pressure
meds
>>7784199huion and xp pen worked on linux just fine, driver app was working, never tried wacom on linux. As for drawing exp there is something about wacom pen and glass treatment that huion and xp pen could not replicate, its just slighlty more enjoyable to use. My xp pen artist 14 had slight problems with pointer offset when pen was tilted, and presusre despite 16k resolution wasnt that nice, i had to press really hard to get thick lane, not a big deal, i could just tweak global pressure curve in xp pen driver. Huion was better but entire screen went pink for some reason. I u want cheap you cant go wrong with xppen or huion but wacom is still one step higher
>>7784199unless you are super autistic or a top tier artist, then you wont notice.
>>7784246yeah it's normal because they switched to soft plastic nibs so they wear down faster. (to sell more nibs)once the surface texture wears down a bit, the nibs don't wear down as fast.lots of artists adjust the maximum on their pressure curve in wacom settings so they don't have to press that hard to get max pressure.
I bought a huion and i like it so far. But for some tasks i would still like to use my intuos 3.Is it possible to use both at the same time?
>>7784672You have both, why don't you just try?
I was looking at a medium wacom proDoes the fact that it seemingly only connects through bluetooth lead to problems? I'm a bit untrusting of stuff that requires fine precision being wireless
>>7784672two different brands can have conflicts with the drivers, might be a bit buggy.>>7785121you can plug it inmodern bluetooth stuff isn't that bad but there is a tiny delay
Is there a reason to seek the Tab S6 Lite over any later models, or is it just something that OP has never changed?
Intuos 3 is more sensitive, compared to screen huion . Together with a crisper screen, i think its a little bit better for the final touches. But a somewhat bigger problem with intuos 3 is the initial activation force, thats pretty high. And the pen is trash. I have already tried to fix the loose nib, and it got a little bit better, but still. I guess the plastic of the body deteriorated and got soft, the whole body is now flexing. There is no new pen that would work with the old tablet, right?Im thinking about buying something newer.Intuos 4 XXL, 60-100 euros on ebay. Does it make sense to buy one?>>7784978>>7785159It works, so far without bugs.
why tf does my screenless tablet have coil whine? Its very distracting.
>>7785679its screaming in pain
>>7785753How do i make it shut up? The pitch of the whine changes when the pen is in the sensing range and when the buttons on the tablet are pressed. What is going on here?

But now I want a new drawing tablet, I am too cheap for screens am I am used to a screenless one anywaysShould I wait till Black Friday to see if I can get a deal on an Intuos 4 tablet somewhere online, or should I just by one now on ebay for around $60?
>>7789139no
I’d like a standalone screen tablet. On the other hand, I really prefer desktop-first programs as opposed to oversimplified mobile apps. To me this means I’d prefer to use Krita over Procreate, and that probably includes a shortcut remote. Is that a stupid ask? What are my best options, maybe a samsung galaxy with bluetooth xppen remote?
I own a screenless tablet but Im thinking of upgrading to a screen one.Whats a good option to jump to? I already work a 2k resolution if that has anything to do with it.Im looking for something midly big or at least on the bigger side, I currently draw on an XP Deco Pro MW for reference.
>>7791828does that one feel small?
>>7792541Not really its pretty spacious all things considered.
>>7785240It works excellently as a way to sketch out a quick drawing that I will then transfer over to my computer and work on properly, but I wouldn't use it for serious work. It gets laggy on Infinite Paint after even just a few layers and a few open apps. It might be time to retire it from the list, or keep it with an asterisk.
>>7792598That's why I asked; I was wondering if it could be a newer Lite model or if the recommended S6 Lite was chosen specifically for some reason. If so, I might look around for an old iPad Pro instead.
I can buy a used Cintiq 16 for 180 bucks, is it worth it?Its the 2019 version I think
I bought a wacom intuos s but I didn't realize it was this small. It's quite a bit smaller than my last tablet. It's too late to return it but I think I still might buy a larger sized tablet
