No he's just living proof that Japan has no standards when it comes to manga art.
We have had this thread so many times. Nice art is nice art and I agree Shingeki no Kyojin's art is pretty bad. But people don't read manga for the art quality but story and SnK's story and setting were captivating from the start.

There's a reason why the One Punch Man manga is far more popular than the webcomic version by ONE despite the manga far worse storytelling.Most people read manga, and comics, webtoons, manhua, manhwa, etc because of the art, only a few comic books have a good story, including manga, their stories are a lot more simple than what you get in novels and movies, they're just a bonus in most cases.People say that comics are 50/50 story and art, but most readers see it as 20/80 in favor of art, only a few adults care about story beyond le chosen one garbage or muh love triangle drivel.
