I feel like all my drawings have been shittier lately but looking back i know that's not true. Sure my drawings are all sucky anyway but when compared to when i first joined DAD there's been an improvement, yet somehow back then i was more satisfied with my work. Anyway now drawing doesn't feel as fun anymore and more often than not just leaves me feeling frustrated, any other DADs know this feeling?

I always get the urge to just nuke all my socials and start over clean maybe with a simpler or more appealing art style and i've done so over 4 times so far, thankfully DAD has a delayed nuke button so I've always canceled whenever I came back to my senses. As for drawing not feeling fun anymore it comes and goes for me, the one way I found more joy in it was to change the rigidity of the process, something like say go directly into painting on a sketch rather than doing a full clean lineart or just doing shorter drawings. Drawing in general should be more about expression rather than strict technicality imo, you do studies to express your ideas better rather than achieve a "perfect" drawing.

The same way I collect artbooks, or artist portfolios, manga, doujins, image sets, concept art and cosplay sets in an app called Suwayomi, I've been collecting high res only fans photos, poses, etc. in a subfolder system on a hard drive so I can run it through a timed life drawing class program called GestureDrawing!Anyone who knows me in these servers knows that I'm sort of weirdly organized on this kind of shit to an almost librarian like degree and am always more than happy to share resources or help out with people who need ref or tutorials or whatever. I actually used to do this kind of stuff as a career, when I worked in research and marketing in another life time. You can see in the attached image I wrote a guide on a desktop program called Suwayomi - if you want it. Also included an example of how I organize my server art library, and the life drawing reference folder (highlighted in an additional window are some of the pregnant models I've collected so far - if you want a me to upload a zip I'd be happy to, or if you want to use these as a jumping off point to find more, more power to you).
