goddamnit im happy its finally happening
but i wish the producers laid foundation for indian industry revival
instead of outsourcing it to abroad nations
I wanna work on this i wanna be a part of this
but its getting done in baguette land

i thought after narsimha there'd be buzz for indian industry revival
but if this outperforms that (which it absolutely has to i mean look at it its the Arcane guys ffs)
it will be the death nail on the coffin for any indian animation revival
this will set a precedent that outsourcing to the first world is easier than whipping up the tard in the indian industry

Hello thread
time to learn animation
Greasepencil next time
>>
>>7785735
the trick is to not actually animate the whole shift
what you do is pul in one of the subjects into and extreme closeup and only hint as a massive perspective shift
a good example is the anime face close-up that those clever slant-eyed gooks use to transition between one dynamic composition to another
look at this https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/285957
notice how spooky skeleman leans into the camera and the perspective shift happens off-screen
followed by the camera panning to the fore-shortened arm
the bg isn't animated at all it just swaps out during the lean
many demonstrations in this one too https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/292998
notice how the giant occupies trhe entire screen for that one frame when the bg swaps out

tldr
>just lean into the camera to distract the viewer
>extreme close-ups are best especially if it highlight a specific char feature
>learn effective appealing forshortening that look cool (being anatomically accurate is optional see pic rel)
>learn drawing panoramic bg's to quickly slide in the bg
>>
>>7788713
as an added bonus check out this guy for some crazy dynamic perspective shifts without lame tricks
albit he uses 3d bgs and craazy focal paramenters to achieve his feel but it looks cool asf

I'd reverse the mouth gaping and the inflated/deflated torso because when you inhale the air, the mouth gets smaller due to difference in the air pressure getting sucked in and while it'll become the opposite when you're exhaling air out. Btw only fixed the timing to make it look more natural with all the available drawn frames.

well yeah female arousal has no directly visible indication that can be exaggerated for levity's sake
erect nipples/clit n blushing is the closest equivalent even then you can really show blushing on darker toned femals
some manga's use steamy breathe and that slash through iris/heart pupils too but that veers off more into comical than erotic methinks
my personal favourite niche trope is when the character holds a straight face and the artist draws an exaggerated expression off to the side to denote true internal feelings
i've seen it done well in doujins mostly off the top of my head a good one was for monogatari specifically focused on hanekawa character
just the contrast between the barely held straight face and the true raw emotion on the off panel does it for me
the layers of expression both intended perception and true raw feeling adds tasteful eros to the otherwise very one note exchange

also hehe nice trips satan
>>
>>7799009
>well yeah female arousal has no directly visible indication that can be exaggerated for levity's sake
There is actually, the clitoris and vulva do swell when aroused creating a 'flowering' or 'opening up' impression.
There are annoyingly few direct comparisons of resting vs aroused pussies but the clearest example of it (I won't post it here) is on wikipedia commons titled 'Labia becoming engorged with blood as female reaches arousal'.
Also cliteral erection can cause the external clitoris to poke up a bit and swelling cliteral bulbs cause the lips near the lower vulva to be pushed out a bit more lending to that impression of opening up.

Curious, for the people that actually draw here, what aspects of a piece of animation gives you the feeling reminiscent of a perfect fitting puzzle piece?

What makes us say "oh yeah that's it. That's what elevates this to feel just right."

Two pieces of heavy gauge metal clanging together with a hardy KA-CHUNK

I personally feel its all in the timing and simulation of weight, but I'm sure some would prefer the appeal and cleanliness of a drawing.

I know that's a pretty general question/example but would love to hear peoples thoughts.

I’m trying to build an ARTHOS.
ARTHOS tend to have a strong iconographic identity.
Ideally it should have its own language.
You know, jap stuff is often persuasive because it uses a closed language.
The THOUGHTSET isn’t shared.
Your people have a fascinating, ancient culture, you should make use of it.
Unlike _________, who are basically a pastiche.
Creating icons is easy, the hard part is building a proxy that lets them replicate.

Anyone who hasn’t achieved divinity depends on society to replicate himself. It’s pathetic.

Personally, I really like the ahegao face on animated characters. It's only when ethots try to do it irl where it cringy af. Ahegao face is too mainstream that it kinda loses originality. The "meh whatever" external face while internally being super into it is somehow more degenerate and would be nice to see it more often.

>>7802115
just watch lotsa movies while taking active notes
if you can read moon rune there's a buncha anime storyboards up on e-hentai
https://e-hentai.org/?f_search=storyboard
even if you cant read jap scibbles you should be able to get the gist by context clues
go buck wild buddy

the vocabulary is simple:
A single unbroken scene is called a "Shot"
A series of related Shots played in order is called a "Sequence"
There are Primarily three types of Shots categorized by the Camera's distance from the Subject
Namely "Close-Up Shots" "Mid Shots" and "Wide Shot"
Every Shot is a Variation of these Three Categories or even unbroken transitions from one to another.

Every Shot is further divided into Fore-ground, Mid-Ground, and Back-Ground
Mimicing Human-eyes/Camera Visions most shots are composed to focus on one of these' grounds
Thus the Director (aka you storyboard artist) selectively Blurs out these grounds to *direct* the audiences gaze

The movement of the Camera within a static bg also has different terms
When the Camera moves from point A to Point B its called a "Pan" (Camera-Panning)
When the Camera follows a specific element in every erratic direction its called a "Tracking Shot" (Camera-Tracking)
When the Camera zooms into or away from an element its called a "Zoom-in/Zoom-out" (Self Explanatory)
Every Camera Motion falls into these categories or is a combination of these main types

Switching from one camera angle to another is called "a Cut"

This takes care of basic Vocabulary
now go out there watch anime/cartoon and take note of how they apply these elements for good story-telling
Conciously taking notes is already enough to upgrade your sense of story-telling

Ok, so NOW i'm going to buckle down and make animation to cap off my year of drawing, so, I want to do something simple like an animation loop with music, I draw on drawpile because I like my workflow there and has a simple animation menu,

My question is how the fuck do i sync to music if the program doesnt have an option to import audio?
Any tips?

unless you plan on having a line test machine set-up with plastic cell sheets for manual paint coloring
I'd reccomend just buying a cheap scanner and using Opentoonz to turn your fine pencil lineart into workable aliased lineart for quick bucket tool filling
then you can anti-alias it through OLM smoother add-on for AfterEffects for that sweet smooth render
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMQ3etCE_-Y
https://www.olm.co.jp/rd/categories/opentools
its a computer heavy workflow but hey it lets you do the lineart traditionally

The 'neo-troP̱̱̱e' of ‘ejaculating breasts’ opens up a lo___ot of pussy͠bilities because it adds behaviors that are usually masculine to women. I know it’s a bit arbitrary, but isn’t the 'nosebleed' trope from 'cool japan' arbitrary as well?

I just want to express myself 'sincerely' in my own ‘cool-something’ without paying endless tributes, even if I live in an extremely individualistic context without a macro visio_on.

For the past decade I thought that Anime Studio and Manga Studio were by the same company and they simply combined them into Clip Studio. It wasn't helped by the fact that Clip Studio pushed the animation aspect as a feature when it changed names.
I just found out that Anime Studio's successor is actually Moho Studio and they have nothing to do with Manga/Clip Studio.
Now it makes so much sense why people criticize Clip Studio's animation abilities. I was confused this whole time because I dabbled in Anime Studio 5 a long time ago and thought it was pretty impressive.
So now I'm really excited to try Moho and see how much stuff has improved since then because I already found AS5 really intuitive compared to other programs I've tried.

Check the bpm(beats per minute) of whatever song you wanna animate to. Plan out your key frames to those beats. Choose if you want to animate in 1s, 2s, or 3s. Draw out the rough animations. If you don't have a specified animation software that allows for audio input, export your frames as jpegs, pngs, whatever image format and put them into some video editing software along with the audio file. Edit those frames so they play in 1s, 2s or 3s. (Make sure the framerate of the video is 24fps) Export the project as a movie file.

This method is kinda a hassle but if you don't have a dedicated animation program that accepts audio files, this is the best I could come up with. I made this linked animation of a cute and funny character dancing to a beat, using blender video editing. It's a 13 frames dance animation mirrored to half the workload. I forgot the song name or the bpm but I think it turned out pretty good.

but the nose-bleed is a play on the rise in blood circulation in horny person's face
more bloodflow-->natural exaggeration-->blood literally overflowing from nasal orifice
while i kinda get the "masculine trait expressed by female body" juxtaposition
i'd like to propose a less derivitive use-case for this trait you've come up with
namely "let-down reflex" in women which in essence makes em lactate upon hearing a baby cry
similarly the inciting stimuli for your proposed "boob-ejaculating-milk" can be any highly pitched noise heard by the character in question
the logical progession being: Lactation through baby's cry-->High-pitched noise causing similar stimulus-->hence high-pitch cry/squeal causing spontaneous lactation
i know its a bit of a stretch but i think it thematically fits in with your intention of wanting to make your own "Arthos" rather than relying on referencing external cultural pivots like le nipponese nosebleed

or i could just be rumbling into the void idk
i just knew this niche booby fact
an thought it'd make for an interesting use-case for your proposed trope

Did (You) learn to draw good and then got into animation or went straight for it? My ultimate goal is to animate good but I'm still a total /beg/
>>
>>7816717
Learned to draw first myself. Just started with sheets of copy paper and graduated to sketchbooks. Would start by drawing (in pen) the people around you in any public place and by creating your own designs, however crude. The former will build up a good visual repertoire, a memory you can use whenever drawing without reference. Also helps to establish a sort of dynamism and soft life for your drawings. Useful even if the studies themselves are no good.

The whole global animation industry is at a moment of crisis right now. It's only logical that the traditional strongholds of the business: America, France, Japan/Korea prevail in the battle for every new project opportunity on the table, and under the table.. They are fighting for their lives, and that's no joke.
You should move to France, if you're not already there. Don't waste your energy and your life yearning and hoping for something that is out of your hands.

>>

I'd move the legs more or the arms less, the arms say he's running at full speed but the legs make it look like some swedish power walk thing
>>
>>7805726
really good weighting in this one
>>
>>7826242
The whole thing is disorienting and it's hard to put it down to a single problem, but a large factor in the choppiness is the character's left hand snapping to their shoulder as the right arm bends unnaturally as the character jolts downwards. More frames does not equal more smoother, less frames would make the movement and your intention more clear. The arms are moving in different arcs, The butt and legs combined with the head give the impression the character is pushing out their ass. The other anon was right that the legs move too little in comparison with the rest of the body. The left leg appears to be moving foreword and away rather than foreword (This might be because of the thicker line weight on some of the frames, unsure). The character has an extreme side to side sway. The overall impression is that you did not have a clear sense of the 3d space and perspective.

Broke my tablet so can't redline ATM. If you upload a version with fewer frames I can give better advice. As of now, I would say study reference videos and really try to conceptualize the 3d movement of the character with as few frames as possible.

Thank you frenz. I messed up the spacing and it apparently shows in the arms and legs. This is supposed to be a running animation but I've got like 20 frames looped so it comes off rather strange like. Kinda like plodding on some excercise stepping machine instead of running. There's simply too many in-between frames in some parts and other parts have less. I didn't bother fixing it because I already wasted too much time on it. It'll be easier just making a new one from scratch. The perspective on the left arm, as anon mentioned, is wonky and doesn't match with the right arm.

My thought process was "okay I have these key frames over here. Lemme just add some in-betweens so they are like 50% one drawing and 50% the other so I don't havta think as hard." And then it just kinda spiraled into what we have here, a hot mess. But I did practice some ball bounce and added in some jiggles.

how is the thing you linked in any way "permabeg" you drooling retard nigger
what you don't understand about succesful animation and why you're probably an eternal ngmi is things like composition/pacing/colors/sound design will elevate your art 100th fold than whether or not you can animate an anatomically correct forearm supinating or pronating
if you care about the last part above everything else you should become a regular painter or better yet a sculpture and stop shitting up spaces for people who actually have to make something with a beggining and an end instead of grinding knee or head bend studies which any ape could master with enough time

Disregard if you're pirating the software.
>>
>>7831718
I'll definitely be pirating, yeah. Adobe Animate is what they call flash now? I think CS6 was the one I used, should I just get him the entire adobe suite circa 2012 or is there a reason to go for the newer shite?
>>
>>7831373
Get him on blender and grease pencil. 3D skills are much more useful for learning and drawing over. You can learn all the basics a lot easier and faster, and it gets him into compositing/video editing. Hybrid workflow is the way I wish I would have learned with instead of dicking around with only 2D for the longest time

Opentoonz is another option to consider but every animation software sucks to use, I would worry about demotivating him from introducing to any of these thing he won't be able to use without a lot of guidance

>>
>>7852697
do storyboards and/or concept art work for your portfolio
the only jobs worth having/commanding the most respect are storyboard artists and concept art/layout artists
these are also the most widely demanded skill (both 2-d and 3-d productions require them)
wherein get direct input from the director/excercise the most creative freedom
actual animators get paid dirt poor wages and are at the bottom of the totem pole

Its funny how as human if we get on all fours our joints are the exact reverse of horse's
>>
>>7854134
Get on your tippy toes, your heels are the 'reverse knees' of the back legs.
Also since their shoulder blades are below their chest the joint direction they're getting is sort of what you get when you pushed your arms behind you, imagine if your shoulders were pushed around into your chest and that's sort of what they're working with.

i've imported all my silly animations into premiere pro to make a fun showcase
and i shit you not guys its a total of ~10 mins of animation
i tought that this : https://youtu.be/yDKP5ZryRjY?list=PLjKkOFGbiBKcHUhzQkyM9KV9UTup6An60 would be enough for bg music
but as i have come to realize i have on my hands a full 10 minutes of silly doodles (before i repeat some of the walk/run loops)
how do i fill up the dead air lads?
reccomend some cute music to go along with a compilation of all of my 2025 doodles

did this tonight. a friend's ocs. anyone get any tips for tvpaint animation, not the official playlist but artists that record their animation process? and how to make a more effective thumbnailing and frame spacing? like i want to animate more similar to anime's framerate but at the same time i want to add fluid or tweening in some parts.

like i'm looking into make animations similar to psicochurroz.
