Dad found out I ate the last rib
>>7786859I already posted this in the animation thread somewhere
>>7786864The ass crack goes too deep
>>7786966I know who this is
>>7786864this looks rly cool, the timing and movement feels natural, i did a small autistic ass/hip anatomy breakdown. im sure you know most of these things but applying them in motion in and weird angles is tricky, just adding something like the venus dimples would help clarify the form imosry for the shit quality but i couldnt fit everything in canvas
I am a god in human flesh.
>>7788060Fire >>7786864Love it, but the asscrack is indeed a bit lengthy. >>7786656Love this, it’s so trippy >>7786512This style is so awesome, could see it on adult swim >>7786508Great style and robotic arm, but don’t skimp on that other hand
the binary pen is my crutch when I’m trying to draw anime.
>>7790137It's really cute but the perspective of the breasts is strange to me for some reason. Looks sort of flat from the side.
>>7787795ah ok, I don't draw womens asses very often but this is pretty clear, thanks for the breakdown, learning a lot
>>7790143I tried to fix it but I might've overdone it.
Bunny.>>7786123>>7786127>>7786140Based studier will exceed us all.>>7786508Love how crispy this feels.

I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road, I'm gonna riiiiide til I can't no more
Im not sure what exactly came over me, but a little over a year ago I decided to study the SpongeBob artstyle and challenged myself to design incidental characters that would seamlessly fit into the show, based on real species. Then I got the bug again about a week ago and did some more. It’s a far departure from my usually style, which is more rigid and less exaggerated. It was a fun exercise though, since it let me try something new.
Fucking terrible pose, ts was doomed from the start but finished it anyway
>>7795663Good for a beach episode therefore fun and cute. A simple bg fitting that theme would also help.
no name
>>7805344This is a good idea, I don't know how to add a background that compliments it well but keep experimenting, I have been trying a lighter pastel lineless style for backgrounds but I have trouble finding guides for stylized backgrounds so I keep trying to wing it and chisel it out

>>7805057Man I'm glad I haven't heard that song at work for a long time.
>>7797870love your uaahhgghuuahhg, got any blog?
>>7805384I guess the simplest way to start would be keeping a cohesive palette. With a composition centered on the character colors will be pretty forgiving as a long as you aren't using some super contrasty colors where you don't want the eye to fix on, those value contrasts are generally saved for the character or anything framing and balancing the painting. I also recommend checking out Kaneoya Sachiko art, he has such a great range that it's interesting to see how he can use the same character in different styles, he'll make even simple, non detailed bgs work with his palette
>>7806658My style is always, every time thick outlines with pastels and my method of color picking is all through a premande palette, I have seen good backgrounds in art and have some good inspo but it seems to be taking me a lot to understand how to on average replicateThe background style I actually want to most emulate is backgrounds like in the powerpuff girls, simple and heavily stylized with no lines or funky linesAll I know right now is... limit my colors and make things in confident, funky shapes and then texture themIt is harder than it looks though
>>7805373very cute!!
>>7805057worst nightmare
still messing with brushes and layerskinda ended up with too many, I think I can simplify a bit more to speedup>>7786508excellent as always>>7807410the horse shouldn't worry, goggles lost that competition to a small japanese woman>>7797870I'm getting strong energy from this poster
>>7796638>>7807921nice
>>7808217the lips and teeth look really good
>>7807921boobas 10/10. The lines in the render are done one by or with a brush?>>7808217Nice render. But i feel the head doesn't fix the body.
>>7810185It's called "Stitch Brush" #2224803I had used it w/color jitter
>>7786859The bottom panel just doesn't work like this. You should either do it vertically to the right (possibly even at an angle) to make it a spread or do it on a separate page. Because right now your first three panels all push your eye to the right and then the last one drops to the bottom.
>>7810752nice figures but it looks like shes missing the top of her skull
eventually ill stop being so lazy with backgrounds. maybe.>>7810090thanks, the faces you draw are funny and expressive in a slick way>>7810185>>7807921>>7806658>>7795907'mirin

>>7786013who drew these three in the OP? image search is not telling me anything.
>>7805249These are adorable anon. I don’t really see the spongebob in the stylization you went for with most but that’s no big deal, these are fun on their own.
>>7818180Topright is tableguy, bottomleft is also some /ic/ regular I can’t remember a name for, middle idunno.
>>7818039this
>>7786864You're fucking incredible! Don't listen to the others, that ass crack is glorious, limits are in the mind of the weak, legends pierce through the barriers of reality, space and time
why don't 8 feet tall women exist?!?!
>>7818931I don't know anon but they should
>>7792057did you do the middle image on the OP? i know i have it saved somewhere, but i don't know where. can you repost it?
>>7786864I can see that the line is clearly a seam on the pants, so i get what you're going for. good work.
>>7794705sorry, he just looks a bit like my friends cringe oc and i thought maybe we knew each other
Real Marxist-Leninist hour >>7808217I actually think the face is much better than the breasts. Strange that you used extensively sharp edges on the face but forgot about them when it came to torso
>>7818083Love it, anon. DO you have a bloggu?
>>7818180i drew the middle one

>>7822662Is this trad?
>>7795663Her head neck is a bit too twisted for that back view/ ass shot. I would turn the head a lil more or turn the torso to more of a side view.
>>7822818great stuff
I have been learning values. I still have a lot of work to do. Practice makes progress
which version is better?
>>7822972I much prefer the toothy lines over the soft ones
>>7822738yup, that's why the ink is feathering on those ARTEZA pads.
>>7823105
>>7823413
>>7822979thanks for the feedback! I like the textured look of the pixel brush myself.I feel like the face on the right turned out better, so I might try and redraw that expression for the left version.Pretty nice drawing you got there, I really like that it's lit from the back. You don't see that often enough.

cartooning
>>7823413Nice >>7824496Nice style >>7824931Love the colors
>>7822943Try to experiment with light more. It’s easier to understand values when you have a deeper understanding of how light interacts with objects/forms
>>7824934I agree. my understanding of how light interacts is still rudimentary. at this stage, I'm getting comfortable keeping values in mind when building up my workany tutorials you can recommend on the subject>>78237488-corner pizza, hell yeah Detroit
>>7825113Looking at your process, it seems a little bit backwards in terms of how you should study light. Like the people at the bottom for example. I think you should establish the light source first and then add the shading of the basic forms afterwards. Since you’re filling it with mostly darks initially, it allows a lot less moving room for the lights because you’re not establishing the shadow in relativity to the light, you’re establishing the light in relativity to the shadow. I would recommend doing two value studies and doing things like pic rel
>>7825148that makes sense anon. I have been going in with a dark value first because I like hard contrast, but I haven't been thinking about where the light is coming from in my practice. I watched a short video on the subject and decided to stick to (mostly) three values for the figure. I focused more on the spheres being the source of light, but I also felt the gaps in my knowledge when trying to plot the shadowseither way, thanks for the feedback. I am grateful when /ic/ can point me in the right direction
>>7825272that's a rough reference to use for how you're using itshe's clearly stable and crouching on a glass pane, while your work has no sense of her crouching on any sort of plane. it looks very awkward.sorry if this sounds harsh. i don't know how to put it any other way.
>>7825289I understand, no problem with the critI rarely am 100% locked to a reference unless I'm actively studying. I wanted the character to be floating, so I'm relying on my knowledge from previous studies to pull the foot into the foreground. it's also why I didn't really include much of the glutes - you can see in the ref her heel sits between her cheeks and I didn't want that
Something different. Don't know if I like it.
Did some studies, reconstructed how I draw the planes of my more stylized anatomy works. I feel like is an evolution, but I need to experiment further with different faces and proportions.
>>7822818flats
all done i think
>>7825315I like the blurriness, reminds me of n64 games
