the absolute fastest I can draw something is 3 whole hours.

First I have to come up with an idea, which could take weeks so I'm not even going to include that.
When I actually draw it, I have to work out the composition and pose, that's 30 minutes.

Then I have to draw it, that's a solid hour of nonstop ctrl-z.

Now I have to fix all the errors, so that's 30 minutes.

Add back the soul that was drained from working on it too hard and clean it up, 30 minutes

And now the drawing is done but it's not worth posting because its just "alright", so I have to come up with a new element to add to it to push it to the next level and make it amazing. That's another hour of exploring and trying ideas.

This is how it is when you have no talent, you have to do surgery on drawings to add in the soul because nothing will ever look good the first time. The quality of my drawings improve linearly with time spent on it, starting from 0.

The concept art gold rush was over long before AI. I'd say by 2019-2020 it was already very difficult to land a job as a 2D artist. Companies were mostly looking for 3D artists, if they wanted 2D skills it was as a complementary skill to something else (usually 3D). AI has probably cut down on the need for 2D artists across the board even further. Especially smaller companies will just use sloppa. I see fucking slop on TV ads all the fucking time, it's shit but it's free and normies are mentally handicapped so they genuinely can't tell obvious AI. there's a fucking pizza place near where I live that decorated the place with extremely low quality chinky slop posters, the really wonky shit with half a face missing and 12 fingers on each hand, nobody cares, that shit wil stay and I'm sure the fucking baboons who look at it think it's nice or something.
