How much am I supposed to bother in an A4 with common mechanical pencil and how much is my lack of skill? how do you know that it's because I lack practise, I lack knowledge, or I'm just trying something on a bad medium and/or scale and I should have tried with a bigger page or just jump to digital?(PD: if you think it can be done good with just cheap shit like printer paper and mechanical pencil, try this study and let me see how do you attack it if you can)
>>7795895you might be trying to replicate something in a size that's smaller than what the original was drafted onfor proportions: make an envelope for the figure and find the midpoint, the borders and the center will serve as reference pointsthen copy shapes from big to small
>>7795895Sight-size method with a cast or bargues will fix you. Gotta do it right with an easel though.
>>7795913yeah.... I'm a hobbyist living in a small hostel working 9 to 17 in an atomic research center that takes 1 hour in bus to reach... kind of hard for me to find an atelier that teaches me with easels or buying one that fits my tiny shared room... some tips for people doing it for a hobby with limitations on what to use or where to practise like those?hhm2v
>>7795895I kind of like your Body that the actual anime reference. idk but yeah, If you want to do 1:1 copy, I don't know what to tell you
>>7795922>like your Body that the actual anime referencehuh, how curious, wonder why.Rather than THICC I rather had a thing over women with slim fit bodies, stylized figures with long legs long torso, bearing midriff if possible that always does the trick for me for some reason....
>>7795895why the random jewish symbol on top of the anime girl...
>>7795951>random jewish symbol on top of the anime girl.DAFUQ?you mean the XX? how is an X jewish? those are just Xs from the symbols of a Hunter, of Hunter "X" Hunter
>>7795958I gave up trying to find that fucking image that explains it, so this is the best I can do right now. stuff like this is present in most anime and japanese games
>>7795895check your negative spaces anon
>>7795895If you want to be more exact, try the grid method.Try drawing normally within the grid, and then use the grid to work out where you were going wrong.
>>7796011what about small detailings like eyes and spacing of fishnet?
>>7795978>>7796011grid methods, negative spacem are they worth doing or they're just another way of "tracing"? I mean yeah, you can correct a lot if you keep doing until you get it quite accurate, but in the end how different is from tracing or what do you learn from all that work? I don't see how will you construct better after doing all that measuring or I don't see how is it that different to just overlap the original and check you make all proportions right, maybe I'm too noob to understand how people improve using those types of studies
>>7796372>In regards to the grid method and tracingNotice how I said to make the grid, draw as you would normally, and then use the grid to double check and correct.I'm not telling you to be a photo copier here, I'm telling you to use it to train your eyes and to help you practice towards more accurate drawings without it. Consider it training wheels to learn before riding the big boys bike.
>>7795921Well i guess you’ll never learn how to draw then!
>>7795895Ok, so normally I would provide critique but your ignorance about /ic etiquette is jarring and shits up this board. This is not your personal critique board, we have proper beg&int thread for people posting their works for others to critique but you are so ignorant that you didn't even bother to read it, otherwise you would know about sticky and beginners starter guide. What's also frustrating is that not a single person replying to your addressed that or the fact that you are an absolute starting beginner. You think that copying a drawing is teaching you anything and what's even worse you think that you made some artwork. Your lack of self awareness regarding your absolute beginner state while talking about:>how much is my lack of skill>how do you know that it's because I lack practice, I lack knowledgeYou clearly know that your doodles are shit which makes these dumb questions and this very thread in itself even more infuriating (in its' pointlessness).>is this just another way of "tracingYou got no idea about basics of drawing. You trying to eyeball the drawing then copying it isn't fucking studying it because you got no idea what you are studying or what studying actually is.>you can correct a lot if you keep doing until you get it quite accurateCorrect what? You are literally copying a drawing thus:> I don't see how will you construct better after doing all that measuring Of course you don't because you can only contruct something from imagination (like with a perspective grid).. What you wanted to say is "how can I make proper measurements to redraw this character" not to construct it.The only value in what you're doing is that you MIGHT train some eye-hand coordination and that's it, no line weight, no value, no anatomy since this is weeb shit of the lowest sort, no proportions, no composition and so on but again you just don't get that. Also learn some god damn proper english because you type like some dalit pajeet.
>>7795895To ensure your drawing is not out of proportion, use a rectangle to establish the midpoint and the maximum and minimum height of the character. Don't be afraid to use grids, compasses, rulers, etc. to create your drawing with precision. Always compare your drawing with the reference to see if any corrections need to be made. Honestly, I make a lot of mistakes and I make corrections all the time.First, focus on getting it down on paper, then refine it.
>>7796754I understand the main cross and X all going to the midpoint of the drawing more or less, I assume with one you check height and with the other width, but there are many other lines like the smaller cross I'm not understanding what are you using it for and how
You unironically need jeff watts and Loomis my man. I work 7 to 19 and I'm in the army and still make time 6 days a week.
>>7796864I did a few of watts, brent eviston, proko, peter han, drawabox, vilppu, I never do anything that doesnt' look like a messy garbage even trying hard to follow, maybe my hand coordination is super terrible or maybe I'm using the wrong mediums or both, buth most of what I do is hairy smudgy mess whenever I'm doing them, don't get me wrong I'm still doing them but I still don't see progress and is hard to tell if I'm just not noticing or maybe I'm not practicing with them the proper way.
>>7795895try to learn poses and boxes first human body is fucking hard.
>>7795895The anime’s are a noobtrap thougheverbeit. At least do the mangas
>>7796524>Also learn some god damn proper english because you type like some dalit pajeet.ironic considering your frequent omission of the definite and indefinite articles
>>7796524absolute permapremaprebeg
stop tracing anime shit
>>7798434>no capitalization>no punctuationPot, meet kettle. Additionally, OP is nearly indecipherable, which is the real issue rather than quibbles around technicalities of the Queen's English.
>>7795895>anime perma/beg/ no.1296334564440Give up, you will never draw anything worth looking at.
