Lately, I've been reading debates in the art world about the popularity of both genres. According to statistics, fantasy is currently the most popular genre, while science fiction is losing ground and is considered more outdated. These discussions also reveal social behavior based on preferences; for example, those who consume fantasy the most are mostly homosexuals and women, while science fiction is mostly consumed by Herero men. Another peculiarity is that fantasy has revealed that most of its consumers are more emotional, focused on politics and customer service jobs. Conversely, science fiction consumers tend to be more rational but more focused on technological and business innovation, and working alone.

What are you even implying, what is your point, that liking fantasy is wrong? That liking science fiction is the BaSeD aNd ReDpIlLeD choice? Fuck out of here with your /pol/ bullshit, this isnt even related to art, you just put it on the OP to make it seem like it and not have your shitty thread nuked. God I hate nodraws.

I don't understand why you're throwing a tantrum; at no point does the comment say that people who consume fantasy are worse than the rest, it only says that they have different points of view.

AI or just hopelessly autistic?

whats your point?
>>

Apparently autistic people tend to enjoy both artistic genres; regarding AI, I have no idea what the hell you're talking about.

There's no point here. My question is, how much truth is there to these claims? I gathered this from various anime forums, Reddit, pxiv, etc. They're all debates, and they all agree on this point, but that's why I'm asking here what the anonymous user on /ic thinks and what they actually identify with.
It would be good if, instead of being ashamed, everyone would say what they like and whether it's really true or not. For example, I know people who like Tolkien and fantasy anime, but they can't stand politics or LGBT issues.

I don't think you're really grasping how either anecdotes or statistics work.

Or genres, desu.

nah it's the other way around, fantasy is archaic and suspicious at best, while sf is technophilic and progressive
the big exception is fantasy aimed at women which is actually just porn
