Anyone else going full autism over settings and trying to create a process?I'm constantly thinking about which zoom level I'm at, what brush and brush size I'm using, and trying to make one rigid process I can following like a baking recipeAt this point it's just hindering me to draw and makes me burn out not too long into a drawing session
No cuz i’m not an autist. But i find even when my process changes the finished result always looks similar to my other pieces. Draw on paper irl if you get too distracted with computer numbers
>>7817171nope. maybe if I had linework I would? but I just paint and refine, one layer and a round brush will do.
>>7817213>but I just paint and refine, one layer and a round brush will do.Based, I hope you never get cursed like me
>>7817171You will never find the perfect process. Im the same way and it took me years to learn this. You are drawing because you want to be creative and expressive in the first place, so you can't optimize that. Just draw and do vintners the minutes spent drawing. You will always end up drawing slow because youre trying to find creative and new ways to do things. Literally so thinking about zoom, brush size, opacity. Just draw and make what you currently have work. You will enter flow state more often.
>>7817171this is why Procreate is the best, they streamlined and retard-proofed their UI so much an 8 year old could figure it outalso their base brushes are all very high quality so you literally just open the app and draw
>>7817171to a degree but I deal/dealt with it>zoomI never paid attention to this but eventually realized it was having a big effect on how my brush "feels" when I do line work. I always keep it at 66% or 100% now. The Photoshop zoom tool automatically goes to these two levels.>ProcessThumbnail -> Sketch/Study -> Final/Master Study for everything I do and mostly follow >>7817213.I debated on using CSP for the way better blending engine but settled against it.Where the fuck is the watercooler thread
you just sound like you have anxiety but moids are usually in denial of it
>>7817171Maybe you should just get another hobby like baking
>>7817171Refs, sketch, line art, flats, lights and shadows (detailed texture) what else do you need
>>7817171>SettingsI mostly use default settings. Maybe I change an annoying shortcut or two?... Oh, and I changed the standard eye straining white background. I haven't played around with them in a long time otherwise.>ZoomI just just whatever allows me to see the entirety of the image, so usually just 100%>BrushI just use defaults, I'm sure I changed a few things at the start so they appeal to me a bit more.Stop overthinking it. Nobody cares about your process, they just care about the end result.>"Nobody cares about they process? So then AI-"Fuck off retard.
>>7817171Honestly yeah I'm getting that way about mannequinization and proportional models lately
>>7817184>No cuz i’m not an autistThe word Autist is a lot like the word Artist. You need to master both . One feeds the other.
>>7817171>DOOOOOOOD AUTISM IS SO CRAZY MAAAAAN HAHAHAHAHA SO TRUUUUUE
