Honestly, how many /ic/ bros could pass a Chinese art school test?
>>
>>7818683
A better question is why I would want to pass a chinese art school test
>>
I see a lot of Chinese stuff on Instagram. Its technically impressive but all of it has no soul. They seem to try and make a spectacle of the process to distract from the boring result
>>
>>7818683
I would say five
>>
>>7818692
Explain your reasoning
>>
>>7818687
this is just cope
>>
I'm tall enough to where I would just pass because the chinks are impressed with my height.
I'd play basketball and get a scholarship to the art school by dunking on nerds

even at a score of 96/100 almost nobody nailed the likeness. they all do almost identical mark making too. especially noticeable at the collar. so pre-art school, they all go through the same training at highschool
>>

Mecha anon, for sure, there are at least two in /BEG/, there's this guy >>7784620 and that other who does those pro-tier soft textured furries he post in /ALT/ from time to time, and one more should complete the Top 5 roster.
>>
>>7819027
that guy is pineapplemike. yeah he would pass no problem.
>>
>>7819030
*pineapplemikel
>>
>>7818683
I could easily
>>
>trad
yuck
>>
>>7818683
probably no, is the scope of that test leaked yet?
>>
>>7818693

Found it, this is the other guy that I >>7819027
was referring to >>7792057
/ic/ "could" have 10 very talented artists (max) if you do a deep search in the board.
>>
My art teachers used this an example as to why they dont force the same way of working on us as arr rook sames.
I do wonder what these chinks actually produce when theyre done with artschool though.
>>
>>7819586
Some school teach you to be an artist. Other schools prepare you for a career in art.
These Chinese schools aren't about what you want, they are about what employers want. "Arr rook same" can be quite desirable to them.
>>
Ugh, another day another China sponsored propaganda piece
>>
someone spoonfeed me details, what does this even mean?
>>
>>7818683
like 1 or 2 anons
there are a few more that are skilled, but not for the type of thing being graded
>>
>>7819591
>employers want
it's more fine arts instruction really. I think the test is fine (proportion is largely whats being graded here) but I would hope their animation schools have a slightly different test.
>>
>>7819481
i like the artist below the one you linked much more
>>
>>7818683
Imagine being on the middle of that crowd and having a stomach stabbing ache, a broth of explosive diarrhea ready to escape, while also being forced to dodge all those vases on your way out.
>>
>>7819701
Just shit in the vase, what do you think it’s there for?
>>
>>7818683
it's over, i can't win against billions of new talents and rapidly developing AI...
>>
>>7818690
this.

these are timed tests so it is insanely difficult to nail likeness perfectly whilst also worrying everything else as well, but the first one is especially close. I have gone down the rabbit hole of exploring Chinese art education and honestly Chinese atelier students are leagues ahead of Western ones when it comes to pure skill and technique. From what I can tell, pursuing art there seems much more cutthroat since work is judged much more harshly and people are blunt about something that is not good. They spend years drilling fundamentals and technique than on self expression, which is why some people think their work looks soulless even if it is technically very skilled. But students end up creating expressive art on their own time anyway if you look at what they produce outside of school.
