Another from my man, Mr. Finlay
I know it's an /ic/ meme, but I genuinely think this Picasso is an all-time great. The line economy is incredible and everything feels like it's in the right place with no wasted effort.
>>7823660But I like stuff like this in general. "Minimal" drawings that show deep understanding.

This thread definitely has to have some Franklin Booth in it.

>>7823673Last one for now. Taiyou Matsumoto does this thing a lot in Takemitsuzamurai, where he'll reduce to a form or shape just a few tightly drawn lines. George Grosz did that a lot too in his drawings. It's influenced my own art.

Chris Stevens
>>7823457Bump based thread >>7823660This is probably the best thing Picasso ever did, I don't like his paintings >>7823670Love this one too
Always the same 100 pictures and manga in those threads.Isn't there anything new?
>>7824167no because 99% of great line art beyond random sketches was simply a matter of limitation and/or economics of reproduction, and even then a lot of them were engravings done from paintings rendered into line by the engraver, not actually produced as such
finally a cool thread
>>7824167I didn't really intend for the thread to just be about dumping art. Anons could always post their own art if they want something original. Maybe we need a thread challenge, a picture or painting that would be hard to convert to lines.>>7823660Idk how someone could look at those hands and think this is a meme.
An attempt at what publishers were looking for in the way of interior illustration for books. Simple clean lines easily printable.
