Which of these two drawings do you guys prefer?
>>7825249second
left
>>7825251>>7825252the one with open eyes or closed? I'm trying to understand if I improved.
>>7825255i like the one with the open eyes better
>>7825249neither, fix the proprtions
>>7825257So I got worse oooooooooooooooooof>>7825258Is there something wrongly proportioned?
>>7825255the one with the eyes closed. the chin on the right looks weird to me.>I'm trying to understand if I improvedasking random people which of the two they prefer doesn't tell you whether you've made objective improvements. and in terms of improvements of appeal, that's going to depend on the people answering the question and the taste of the sort of people you're trying to appeal to. but even for that I don't think asking people on this board is a good test for that.
>>7825263>Is there something wrongly proportioned?yes, it will take you 2 minutes to find a reference for this. if you can't bother spending 2 minutes i can't bother 2 minutes either
>>7825268ok, bro, I just corrected a piece of an old drawing, didn't really plan, and spent too much time on it>>7825266I understand what you meant. I do prefer the new one, but I also want to hear other opinions because I can't trust myself
>>7825271>I just corrected a piece of an old drawingyou didn't
>>7825309Okay, I'm worse now. What could I improve?
>>7825321proportions
>>7825323I found a side view of an anime girl, and it doesn't seem wrongly proportioned
>>7825328post it
>>7825249The one on the right looks fat and ugly like a pig, so I personally prefer the one on the left with its eyes closed.
>>7825332
>>7825338now you know what to do
>>7825340Honestly, pretty funny ragebait nigga
>>7825345do you want me to sugarcoat it so you can feel all fuzzy and warm inside?
>>7825249I like the first more even though the rendering isn't very accurate to the underlying face structure because her bright, unrendered yellow and white eyes on the right are distracting. While the shapes of the shadow are more accurate, they're less flattering because of their complexity and the edges are so hard that it makes her gigachin stand out. If I were you, I wouldn't even apply such harsh shadows directly to the sides of her face. I would just apply that uniform cast shadow underneath her jaw, nose, and orbital area.
>>7825346Tell me what you want
>>7825351it is your drawing. what do you mean what i want
>>7825354> Do you want me to sugarcoat it so you can feel all fuzzy and warm inside?I mean, tell me what you want to tell me. >>7825349Normally, I don't use such harsh shadows, but I wanted to see how I could have corrected an old drawing, so I just changed the shape and stuff
>>7825359wow anon your drawing is so good i love the colors and that hair oh my gosh. and that light setup creating such hard edges against the darkness in the background is chef's kiss. keep going anon you are doing great keep working at it and you will get better and better. never give up!
>>7825249Left's face is much more appealing, while the right's hair is slightly more vivid
>>7825362
