Every time I struggle with a piece but keep giving my best to make it look good it always end up being worth it. If you're also getting your ass violated by a drawing, keep going. It will be worth it!

yep

that doesn't work for me. when I'm struggling like that I need to back off or my autism destroys me. And I need to play at least a 10 hour video game session.

>or my autism destroys me
how so?
>>
>>7826546
Yeah, the struggle always pays off.
>>7826575
You'll never be an artist. Kill yourself
>>
>>7826575
I'm not gonna lie man, I have that urge too, and many times I've fallen for it. But when I'm able to resist the temptation I never regret it.

yeah but it doesnt matter because anons on here will still shit on you
even if you are better than them

>it doesnt matter because anons on here will still shit on you

true, but why does *that* matter? why should I care about what any random individual thinks about my work?
>>
>hopeposting
Fuck it up, OP.
>>7826624
>>7826636
You should care to a certain extent. You gotta be detached enough from your work to acknowledge that they may have a point, even if they express themselves poorly, but you gotta be on the lookout for crabs and nodraws who bash other people's work just to try to make other anons as miserable as they are.
>>

>acknowledge that they may have a point
perhaps this is being pedantic, but when OP said
>shit on you
>even if you are better than them
that read to me as a situation where people were simply being crabs. of course there are people who might be overall worse than you who can still see something wrong in a work you didn't (for one reason or another), but that to my mind wouldn't ever rightly be called "shitting on someone". but I don't think we're fundamentally in disagreement.

Because you are good, and I am not.

No. It's because I try hard and you don't. So try harder anon!

Nta but that's something I'm unable to do. Fortunately I'm still able to take criticism though I might get mad as fuck at times.

They do draw. And they're pretty good.
>>
the longer I spend on a drawing, the worst it gets. y best drawings were done quickly with no effort at all, and my stinkiest turds spent hours of frueling polish.
>>
>>7827040
how? are you fucking up the initial form? figure out your linework then render, copy other artists rendering if you have to. use pencil/pen on paper. if the initial sketch doesnt look good, dont bother finishing it
>>
>>7827040
Because sometimes when you're new the muscle memory just clicks together and you can get something cool when you're not trying, but every journey into the deep end of working hours on a to piece is a journey into uncharted waters. The more you work the further your muscle memory and intuition will go into the process of completing a drawing and the number of things that are fucked up and need adjustments will shrink. I know it seems like no progress now, but if you're being conscientious about your work I promise it's happening

My struggles have never paid off even once
Feels like I take two steps back for ever step forward.
