Will it be better to become a trad artist in the future?
depends
Holy shit i can't stand artists complaining about technology all the time anymore Just go draw on cave walls and shut up
Most artists who complain are always artist with a handful or few hundred followers at most or maybe a few bigger ones for a week to jump on the hate bandwagon. If their art is actually good enough and they reach people then they wouldn't even feel the need to complainIt's always "ai looks like shit" "slop" "soulless" yet they keep screaming and complaining about losing jobs etc.You see almost no japanese artist complain or even mention ai at all aside from the occasional "no ai" watermark
You don't need more than 8GB. There is also no need to draw at 10k+ resolution and use more than five layers.
>>7826742stop making shit threads
>>7826758>You see almost no japanese artist complain or even mention ai at all aside from the occasional "no ai" watermarkthey complain all the damn time you retarded fuck. Look at your favorite jap artist retweets and actually look at the jap accounts.
>>7826824Name 10
>>7826758Dumbass "thing, japan" comment typical of /icey/. Japs are absolutely shellshocked by AI, they are absolutely not handling it very well on the whole. If you see some meme image-poisoning shitting up the picture, it's safe bet it's a jap deathly afraid of their work being used in training data.
>>7826827https://x.com/innocence_SACyou weebs are so fucking retarded
>>7826844https://x.com/henken_second
>>7826844Literally who
>>7826742>AI SLOP>NO AI TAKE MY MONEY
>>7826848I accept your concession
>>7826742First off it was always better to be a tradGOD even before AI-shit got into the mix.But if the guys is bitching about not having powerful computers anymore like most mini PC's that you can buy off the shelf/online are enough for basic shit like CSP and other editing programs. Also what this anon said >>7826764
The RAM shortage shit is the funniest fucking thing ever. So many people that weren't into the whole AI investment and backing thing having a violent wakeup call about it
You just lose the convenience of layers, undo and material costs which have their own pitfalls but it doesn't really matter.
>>7827044Also with shit like "layers" the traditional equivalent is about just as good. If I have a sketch that I know looks good but its either to messy to erase or Im at risk of damaging the paper I either use a lightbox and just draw over my sketch with a new sheet of paper, or assuming I dont have a lightbox on me I just rub some graphite on the back of the OG sketch, lay the OG sketch on top of a new sheet of paper and just trace it with pressure so the graphite can rub off on the paper in the back.
>>7826742Personally I never cared about digital artIn this site too when I look at other peoples drawings and paintings I skip all digital art and hide all threads with anime picture
>>7826742It's always been difficult. The tools that are worth it for drawing and painting have always been expensive.
>>7826742Wait till this nigga sees what good trad art supplies cost
>>7826758KekarooneyI see jap artists having genuine breakdowns over people using their art as profile pics. AI also brings a similar responseMost artists hate it and always will
>>7827352Those shills would always say this lie and stuck with it cause they don't bother to even check. It's like the same where they claim professional artist don't have an issue with it when they do as well. Those faggots are never in the spaces to claim such bull shit in the first place.
>>7827352>Most artists hate it and always willYou mean the vocal minorty, just like with anything AI related.Obviously you will see the people cry and scream about it and not the millions that don't.
>>7827398exhibit a
>>7826742He must be a shit artist if he is that scared of ai slop
>>7827398Faggots like you are so desperate to portray AI media as popular with the common person, but fail to explain why so many AI users pretend they are artists, and hide the fact they ever used it.Maybe because it's not as popular as you like to pretend?>"T-t-that's so they won't get hate from the artist community"Yeah, Bullshit. Show me an example of an AI creator who is honest with its use, and gets a large amount of hate. The ones who get hate are the hustlers who hide its use.
>>7827410I know you have strong opinions on out-sourcing.
>>7827411Most of them? It's the whole reason why people keep screaming "ai bros" and other shit. They freak out at the slightest mention of ai not just in art but in game dev too even if it's just tts or a few lines or code or anything even medical research.Hating AI is just a trend that will eventually fade out like everything else. And yes i know you will just give me some retarded reply.
+15 izzat
>>7827419>Hating AI is just a trend that will eventually fade out like everything else.same thing with nfts, dot.com,etc :O
>>7826742lmao
>>7827419I'll probably sound like a douche for this, but I don't care. AI art practitioners disgusts me at a core level. Practicing art is tapping into a chain of knowledge that dates back to the first caveman who pressed an ashen hand to a cave wall and saw the possibilities. It's connecting with the very core of what it means to be human, to dream, wonder, and struggle to bring your dreams to reality. Maybe that's fruit, but it's really how I feel.AI artists have no connection to their ancestors. They have no appreciation for the struggle to find a voice. They have a toy that's sucked up human understanding for them and spits out pretty pictures so they can nod at each other and say, "Yes, yes, this is exactly the image I had in my mind." As if it they would have stick with it if it actually demanded thought and time.If you make AI art just because it's an easy job to pack up right now to make a few bucks. Just admit that's all you care about. You never looked at art with the eyes of an artist. You have vacant soul of marketer. You cultivate an air the approximates what you think art and creativity is but you'll never know. These guys all tell on themselves because they're not learning to draw in their spare time, something that would put them above other AI artists.
>the resident ai tranny shitting up the art board againlike clockwork
>>7827398those millions being boomers who can't even tell and third worlders like you
You niggas really have to stop replying to such obvious baitNo one gives a shit what you say, especially the ones you're replying to, they just will think they epic trolled you.Assuming they're not samefagging yet again.
I know this is standard /ic/ bait thread no. 3402146 but I have to say... I'm so tired of the cope coming from artists with AI, they flood my twitter timeline with garbo memes an posts saying things that makes them look completely desperate. Yeah AI is here to stay, but humans will always want something made by another human ultimately. A handcrafted chair from a master will always be preferable than some 3d printed/ standard crap.
>>7827675Do they want that though? 99% of things are just automated or made in factories etcEven art or photography etc. went through different stages of people complaining about new features/techniques
>>7827419>Most of them?Bullshit>the whole reason why people keep screaming "ai bros" and other shit.Called it, lol. You claim that AI creators are very appealing to normies, so how are artists (the minority, as you put it) drowning them out? I don't believe you either, remember how I ASKED you to show an AI artist who is being harassed whilst being forward about their AI usage?... Funny how you couldn't seem to do that, because it's as bullshit as your first claim.>Hating AI is just a trend that will eventually fade out like everything else. Just like AI itself will fade away? Just accept that AI users will forever be the butt of jokes, or the general trait or characteristic of terrible dull people>And yes i know you will just give me some retarded reply.Couldn't be anymore retarded than yours was.
