Can you learn art through osmosis?
osmosis jones
>>7829044You can pick up techniques and tricks, sure, but it still comes down to putting those things to practice and use.>>7829047I liked the tv show better.
In the same way you can learn how to play an instrument through videos as long as you actually play it yourself too, yes.
>>7829044Yes, I'm a professional basketball player now getting 2 millions a week

What happened to all those good Japanese streams from pixiv live? Did they all give up? I don’t want to watch these Boston girls off twitch and picarto is furry central. The other sites are a mixed bag, mostly no draw streams.
>>7829044Normal people can learn basics of Art through reading and following Regular art manuals.Normal people artists with at least 5 years of drawing and Gifted Talented people can literally imagine themselves sketching something they are looking at, then they can redraw the stuff they saw earlier into some paper or digital canvas later.Autistics can't learn anything without doing the thing repeatedly under strict discipline. No one learns through osmosis.
>>7829091AI happened
>>7829044Obviously, watch a youtube video instead doe
>>7829091Cancel cultureRagebait cultureAmerica insanityLGBTQ plus retardnessMuh moral moffugenNBDisorderbasically zoomers happened. Reminder that they canceled Himukai for a couple of years
>>7829044Yeah sort of. You can just draw though. Twitch is not that great if variety of art streamers. But I have found some good artists there . And if you like recording your drawing session you may like to stream as well
>>7829091Pixie live for discontinued a few years ago. A real shame
>>7829044Yes. Not efficiently. But yeah, you will improve by watching how pros do it. The problem is most of them are not worth watching. Try watching how the pro mangakas do it. Quite a few have youtube channel.
>>7829188When was that
>>7829226no it didn’t they removed live this year
>>7829047fpbp
>>7829044No. With every skills you have to actively do it. Reading, watching, listening, passive stuff doesn't count
>>7829226>>7829188>>7829101Don't reply if you're gonna make shit up.
>>7829044>the sketch was already done off stream>they just slowly add lines while yapping and talking to chat>zooming all the way in so you can't even tell what they're drawing while they feather in every single line
>>7829044>Art category on twitch>It's all BPD tumblr burnouts drawing formless furry slop while faking a high pitch voice
If you mean "improve by observing others" then yes! I do believe you can, and I like to think I have on occasions
>>7829044sorta but not really
>>7829455>Don't reply if you're gonna make shit up.Name ONE
No, but you will get better from observation
>>7829047
>>7829081I think it'd be more grim if all 3 million were watching - do they have nothing better to do than watch fucking twitch? There's also the possibility that a lot of them are old, no longer active, accounts.
>>7829044No, but if you're just doing nothing anyway, watching art streams is better than watching random unrelated videos. It keeps drawing at the top of your mind and might give you some ideas for things to try later. But all the actual improvement comes from you moving the pencil across the paper, don't get it confused.
>watch eo>hmm i better bookmark this video i want to see the coloring again>he privates the thingWhat compels my nigga to do that, ai?
