>dies poorHow did he manage that with his skills and art period? Seems fishy
>spend money>dieit's that easy
apparently it was a few things, such as inheritance issues and changes in public taste towards the end of his life, but perhaps primarily he just wasn't smart with his money, buying master copies, weapons, etc., for crazy prices.
>>7832833his wife didn't help, and he was a bit of a sex pest throughout his later years, but we can really only speculate
>>7832820He got scammed by an art youtube grifter.
>>7832871His biggest regret was not having time for just one more proko class
>>7832832they dont want you to know this trick
He was a super dtar during his lifetime and made mad stacks. He just blew through it all making stupid investments, being sued by a number of people and buying tons of frivolous shit that interested him, so he became bankrupt near the end of his life. Having several lovers (two of which having been his live-in nannies, the last one a good 20 years younger than himself) and abandoning one in a jail for women after fucking her over didn't help either.
>>7832820Van Gogh never made it either. Just because you're good doesn't mean you will make it
