>>7833607That's a movie, lol.
>>7833610Ok, so why would you want to watch this jew?
>>7833616Greek, actually.
this idea is half baked
>>7833603I think the back of the helmet looks pretty cool although I would have used real bones instead of like brass I suppose. The front looks stupid though I don't like it to sci-fi
very gamey
>>7833672What was the idea?
>>7833603Too smooth.
Helmet looks too big on his face, makes his head looks small instead of shaping his face to give the illusion that he has a very strong jawline, the point of this sorta of helmet really if we are talking about design.Everything looks like plastic and lacks grit that makes it look like very expansive cosplay. The spine hair thing is made to look cool but it kinda looks too stupid and try hard and it kinda becomes distracting. For me good design is both cool and immersive, I don't want be thinking the entire time how stupid something is while enjoying it visually. This of course is a matter of taste, but for me kinda like the anon said, this looks undercooked and halbaked, a few more tries of the same concept to bring more to reality plus makes the idea work better would benefit this a lot. So nah, I don't think is a good example of concept art.
>>7833904>it look like very expansive cosplayI think the size and thickness makes it look plastic. You know intuitively, if that thing is made from solid metal, it would weight too much, it has to be plastic.
It looks very marvelesque, which is a bad thing. I don't get why everything medieval/ancient/fantasy has to be fucking angular now, it looks dumb. Has Ryse: Son of Rome taken over the zeitgeist somehow?Nolan was probably the worst possible director to do this movie.
>>7833904>>7833923it's not too big, the guy's neck is too thin and the armor collar/pauldrons emphasize it instead of making it look thicker, he looks like a lollipop in a suitvinne jones pulled off the full retard juggernaut helmet because he has a thick neck and the costume design reinforced that
>>7833944ie something like this, minimal changes to the costume but a thicker neck on the guy
>>7833958its too big
>>7833981that's what your mom said in reference to me penis during sex between her and myself, if you catch my drift
>>7833944>it's not too big, the guy's neck is too thin
Anyway, converting this thread into a best fictional helmets & armor thread.
>>7833603god that movie looks terrible>>7834017I can get behind that
>>7833603what use do the bones provide?the protruding cheekbones is fine, but the bones are impractical, even as a trophy or sign of victory over ones enemy, a skull placed on a shoulder would've been a better design.of if a spine is still wanted, it should've been the whole spine, attached to the armor (backside of the breastplate), from the neck down to the tailbone.but as it stands, its just bad and inferior, it just looks half finished.
>>7833984i have laughed outloud due to the content of your post, well played anon, you have attained supremacy over the other individual.
>>7833603No
>>7833603It's been fun seeing all the history autists seething ever since leaked set photos started showing up
>>7834017I know maximus helmet is iconic, but I like this one best
>>7833904I think big helmet would work if you cant see the eyes.
>>7834424Means?
>>7834428Just the twitter drama with people into military history bitching about innacuracy and "muh bronze age" complaining that the armor looks like plastic, redrawing the poster, Nolan is a hack etc, just the usual when any modern historical/mythological media comes out
>>7834443>complaining that the armor looks like plasticIt does, it's not historical and it looks like cheap shit, what's the point of your complaining? You want to eat shit, without being confronting for eating shit. Is that your motivation? It's an art board, obviously the main aspect of discussion is the design not history.P.S. let's be honest, you are a retarded autist yourself, right?
>>7834443all the picture on the right needs is a bit of wear and tear, some dirtI would love to see a big epic movie taking itself serious and depicting people wearing period accurate (to the best of our current knowledge) clothing and armor and weaponshave them speak some reconstructed ancient greek and I and all the 12 people who will watch the whole 3 hour epic will love itbut that's not what nolan does. such a waste. oh well. I'm sure it will be entertaining
>>7834443>>7835308If "Blockbusters" looked like this, they would sell but instead we get generic slop thats kinda boring and uninteresting.
>>7833603no
