How is your Christmas art going?
>>7833912I'm starting it after dinner and I hope I can finish it by the end of thursday (delusional)
started this today based on a photo of me and my papa as a gift for my mom, hoping I can finish it in time
It's difficult, because my Mother has a birthday very soon after Christmas, and I want to give her some art as her Birthday present - but I also got drew up my father has the recipient for my Christmas gift giving, so I want to give him a custom made card.Blah, I put too much on my plate.
>>7833912I made some but I shall not post it here.
>>7833912>How is your Christmas art going?Pretty good, working on my 2025 Christmas Rule34 Pinup Set, ft Hela from Marvel Rivals this year!
I keep putting it off
>>7833912I sketched three wise men two Christmases ago, intending to paint a card. Last year, I did a cleaner pencil layout at size, and still didn't get around to painting. I finally finished painting a night ago. It doesn't fit in my scanner, and I haven't yet bothered to scan in two parts and carefully stitch it together. Maybe next year.
>>78339122 oil paintings, 1 t-shirt, and 3 digital pieces just for Christmas this month alone. Pretty good artists high
>>7834272Why don't you just take a photo of it? Scanning is just a more convenient photo for paper.
>>7834283That's just what I've done, thanks. This morning I printed out some as cards, but the original acrylic is going to my parents.
Finished up the sketch for my Christmas card (picrel), and have traced it to some paper - going to try some watercolour for the first time in years, I'm sure it'll suck, but that'll be funny, so whatever.
>>7835208I like it, anon. Someone will be happy to receive it.
>>7835378>Someone will be happy to receive it.Unfortunately the recipient hated the presents I gave them, and didn't even look at the card - at least the other people in the group appreciated it.It's the second year in a row where my hand made cards have sort of been a dud, first year I had some fucking Indian steal the card (literally a Indian, the card was going through their postal service to get to its destination, and the bastards go through the mail to find valuable items).Oh well... maybe next year?

>>7833938looks good
>>7836941Why does that candle look so tasty?
I made some Christmas art but it's tacky now that Christmas is over...
>>7837036>but it's tacky now that Christmas is over...Actually, Christmas lasts for 12 days, that's why the decorations stay up, and why there's a song called "The Twelve Days of Christmas". So post 'em! Tis the Season!
>>7836913I've been an impatient recipient myself in the past; I feel a badly about it. Usually because I'd have preferred if the person had saved the money for themselves. But I've always been happy to get something someone has made. When I send something irreplaceable, I usually send a neat print or copy. I don't like maintaining a color printer myself, but all my local libraries offer printers-- some free, some for a quarter (US) per page. Though it can take a bit of practice to reproduce something as well as you'd like.Next year, one for each of your (more grateful) group!
>>7837016sickos buy morning wood scent
Finished this fren up.
>>7837155Oh that's neat. What's it sculpted with? Sculpey?
>>7837187The skeleton itself is a model from Warlord Games while everything else like the scarf and box is made of something called green stuff. It's useful for these tiny models because you let it cure without needing to bake it.Pic related is my attempt at sculpting from scratch.
>>7834258Finished it, Merry Christmas /ic/!
>>7837207>green stuffha, what a terrible name for a product. It sounds more suitable for a child's toy that involves slime.
>>7837231Funny enough, it was originally something used by plumbers to stop leaks.
