This is gonna be your goal for 2026draw in silenceno musicno podcastsno videosno streamsno background noisejust you, the art and pure concentration
I need my phone for references
>>7834437thats fine, you can use your phone, as long as you don't have anything blasting into your years 24/7
If you're not starting now and waiting for 2026 then you've already failed
>>7834436I need something to be blasting into my ears, at least some kind of brown noise, otherwise all I hear is my family screaming from the other rooms
>>7834436>no podcasts>no videos>no streamsim sorry what? i understand instrumental music and noise. i use both a white/natural noise generator online to block out stuff like landscapers out my window, and i listen to instrumental music all the time when rendering because it's largely tedium, but who the hell is listening to full blown podcasts or watching videos while drawing? is this a thing that people struggle with? it sounds incredibly distracting.
The year resets on your birthday, not at the stars align of new year’s day. If you haven’t recalibrated your goals you failed.
>>7834436I have tinnitus you fuckass
>>7834436you don't understandI need to drown out the retards outside to settle my cortisolotherwise I would minecraft someone
>>7834483The year resets every day you don't die
Whenever I do this I get audio hallucinations. What's the word, I become hypnogogic? I literally hear my drawings make noises and shit.
>>7834436>no musicYoure fucking insane and out of your mind.>>7834531This man gets it.
if you actually can't spend like, a couple of hours without having anything playing in the background, just silence, then something is broken with youits not normal for us humans to always have music, or podcasts, or background noise or whatever it is always stimulating usliterally every human before the internet or even the TV was able to do it, if you can't then you need to reflect on that
>>7834569humans evolved
>>7834436I already do this tho
>>7834663like 200,000 years ago.
>>7834569insightful, never considered that, we were born into a world polluting our senses for the last 100 years
Better yet do everything in balence. Art first throughout the week, while everything else on weekends after Art in the morning. Sounds like a fair trade
>>7834714>we were born into a world polluting our senses for the last 100 yearsWhy do you retards always make weird shit up, imagine not being scared shitless because a tiger might eat you. Humans have always been surrounded by noise, don't blame your lack of focus on random stupidity. Or do, it's your rotten retarded view of the world.
>>7834708Do you kill lions, shit in the forrest, and wear nothing but bear hide over your body? We’ve evolved dramatically just in the last 200 years. It just so happens you were born with internet access. Just a real coincidence to be born in a peaceful era. This tiny pocket of time out of 200,000 years. Odd, isn’t it.
>>7834720>>7834736>discussing art making in civilized society>retard brings up tigers and lions chasing neanderthals and shitting in forestscant make this up
why though? listening to music when drawing improves my output thoughbeit
I am constantly whistling while drawing, with a fan in front of me, that is already a lot of noise going on, adding actual music is literally nothing.
>>7834741You are a monkey trying to make other monkey go "ooooh" doe
>>7834569>he didn't have a personal bard playing music 24/7 in his castleplebian
unironically I can only do it between the hours of 6 am to 8 or 9 am any other time is too noisy or too quiet
I need music to drown out the loud whirring of my pc and all the cars outside.
>>7834436this shit would be torture>t permaprebeg
>>7834768the only monkey thing about me is monkey dicking ur mum
>>7834441I hate New year resolutions so much. If you want to make a change, just do it right now. Stop looking for excuses to postpone it couple of weeks, even days. Take your shit seriously.
>>7834736don't confuse words. To evolve, evolution means change in your dna. Genetically you are about the same as your ancestors 200 years ago. If they were fine without digital entertainment you should be too. Altough I admit that they had other means. For example they had much bigger and tighter social structures which aren't there anymore today
>>7834446I find listening to some random podcast/yapping to serve as a sort of white noise in the background to actually help me concentrate on drawing stuff. Dunno why though. For writing though, I gotta switch to just music because I can't concentrate on writing if I am listening to people talking at the same time.
>>7834436How about stop drawing.observe nature.self-reflex.self-examination.
>>7835089>they had much bigger and tighter social structuresWhat a retarded take. People 200 years ago just didn't have all the faggotry of the world beamed into their eyesockets, but it still existed.
>>7834441I need to switch jobs first to actually have time for drawing.
>>7835043>Take your shit seriouslyI agree, treat it like your life depends on it, if you want to make it a career then you need to treat it like an actual job before you're actually working at the job
>>7834438>as long as you don't have anything blasting into your years 24/7Straight up not an option. I either hear people constantly talking or shouting or stomping around or blasting music or TV and so on, or I drown it out with sound from my headphones.
>>7834436when you have tinnitus there is no silence.
>>7834436Dogshit mentality. Especiually considering so many traditional artists would use records of classical music as mood work far before digital anything was available. People need audio to keep focused, even if it's ambient sounds. (which you are somehow suggesting against.)Why do you think so many people will go out to coffee shops to draw/paint/write? Why do you think people go out to get creative? Why do you think there are open art studios with people working together while also playing music?Because input good. People watching or listening to others good for brain, make creative juices flow. Your statement only makes sense if you mean to say removing sludge content from your life, as that stuff is designed to destroy your ability to think. Like yeah, OBVIOUSLY get away from slop with bright colorful gameplay rolling on it as someone talks about nothing, but that literally just means having some self control and understanding what things focus your brain and narrow the channels of your mind to your creative state.Anyway, turn this fuck-ass thread into good art music suggestions.Currently listening to Shock To The System by Yes. pretty great song for solving weird technical problems on 3D models right now.
>>7836701>redditardpyw
>>7836724We can tell you can't read dickwad.
>>7836701I wonder what banger records they had in the 1600's
>>7834436I already do that.It hasn't helped much tbqh
>>7836813Can I get humming for 500 please?
>>7834436Nah, just uninstall all your steam gaymes and delete Instagram / social media from your phone (you can post and reply from the browser like it's 2010, no problem)
>>7834436Noooooo you can't take away my totally masculine white girl music playlist
Unironically a skill issue. People can play high skill ceiling games that require active concentration just fine with all the ingame music and sound effects.
