Has /ic/ ever worked on a visual novel?
>>7836059No . Although it seems interesting, manga is better. Also you may be involved with programming stuff
>>7836059Yeah, I did. Then I dropped it after three months. Still see people talk about it sometimes. And even though I purged it from the internet, there's always someone that has it saved.I'm now working on a real game. A 3D game. But because drawing is fun, and fun things are fun, it will feature a heavy use of 2D sprites, like in dialogue panels and the UI and such.

>>7836059Yes. Dozens.
I've been thinking a lot about making a VN (or game in general), but I want to learn more about VN's in general first. I've only played a couple non-Japanese VN's, Milk inside the bag, slay the princess, doki doki, class of 09, and I liked none of them, but at least they had aesthetics. All on Steam of course. I have a programming background so the technical aspect is not a problem at all.So I wonder, what are the main platforms for VN's (because Steam isn't it?), what are some classic VN's, do hentai VN's sell more (presumably yes since the market is flooded with them), where can I learn more about them?
Do people still play visual novels?
>>7836150their? faggot
>>7836297>playLmaoAnd no. In both senses of the word.
I would. But renpy confuses me. RPG maker is too rigid.
>>7836299im not sexist i'm down to get a footjob from either a female (male) or a male (female)
>>7836341How come renpy is confusing you? It's the most braindead way to make a VN with a bunch of tutorials on how it all works. RPG does genuinely suck though I'd avoid it if at all possible
