What are the artistic implications of H. R. Giger? And what about technologically-created art generally?
Giger probably just squints at random objects on his house, then he just autistically fills it in. All his interview answers are him bullshiting some impressive answer to shut up the Art Critiques. Because at thumbnail level, that image you posted look like a Toy Horse for children.
>>7837093I'll check out the interviews. That style of interview was somewhat common in the mid-late 20th c. Artists were aware what the media does.I mean, the question I'm asking, as it relates to Technology, a Technology Question, if you will, isn't just about futuristic art, but also art of the past. Even of the present! You learn about things in life, then go back and look at art you saw a while back, and realize that there's all this stoof you never nooticed. I mean, it's important to consider the various levels and layers of meaning a piece has, of course. I guess I'm really just worried about technology specifically. Although, I suppose, all that lies above and beyond our reach could be placed in a similar, unsettling category...I suppose growth is an intrinsic virtue... And I suppose it's not just the artist's path that is fraught with worrisome things...

>>7837091H. R. Giger is my inspiration. somehow i got brainwashed into drawing anime girls with big boobs.
>>7837213You weren't brainwashed by anyone. In all likelihood, you're lazy and just suck at making good art, so you thought (poorly drawn) anime girls with big boobs would be easy enough to elicit praise and admiration, without much effort invested on your part. You're not adventurous or creative, or courageous.
