I was on Lineofaction, and the last pose was 10 min on this one.I was stuck on this one=> the gesture then the rest; both turning bad.I know that I've done shit, but I don't know what to do to improve =>Could you tell me what's wrong and what should I work on ?I follow Michael Hampton, Pikat, Blubiscuit and Proko=> Start with mastering gesture then apply basic 3D shapes, while in parallel learning anatomy.I honestly feel overwhelm, it's just too much to handle. Like I just want to draw good looking character to do my stuff. Could you give me a hand on this, plz ?Apparently those artist are more digital but I'm a dick in digital like I don't know how to use software like Krita, Photoshop and Clipstudio. Bc on digital, you can just trace to learn the pose.
The og model in better quality
>trace to learn the pose.untrue. also your drawing sucks massive balls. have you even finished copying fun with a pencil and bridgman? dont even bother drawing models before that.
>feel overwhelmedI would say to pay attention to the forms of the anatomy and yadda yadda, but I don't think it would help at this point. You're diving into the deep end and you haven't learned to even swim. Have you ever drawn anything from imagination, even a cartoon? I think you should start with simple volumes, even if it doesn't look that great. Draw your idea of what a person looks like, and try your best to commit to each line you put down (after sketching). Keep it abstract and simple. Draw a SpongeBob-tier character, Parappa the Rapper, that kind of thing. Don't worry about it looking nice. Partially reference it if you need to, but try to work from imagination as much as possible.Do that for a while until you build up some intuition, and can put shapes together in a basic way. Just draw toons. Then, whenever you feel like bringing in some anatomy, study ONE body part - say, the arm.Nobody in history started off with anatomy and figure study. Yeah, it makes drawings look more lifelike, but it comes later in the process, you're skipping steps. Will this help you? Idk, it could in theory, since pretty much every artist starts out drawing cartoons. But I can tell you what you're doing now isn't helping you yet.
>>7837682>since pretty much every artist starts out drawing cartoonssubstantiate this claim. also post your work if you're convinced of this method. not OP but I've been thinking about going through Preston Blair's book
>>7837692These are drawings from high school. I got to this level before every studying anatomy, just by doodling. If you can't even draw something like this, drawing extremely difficult poses from reference is ridiculous.
doesnt look like you spent much time on it. you have the basis, now you refine every angle and lenght after sketching out like you did. just keep at it and dont give up. drawing isnt an instant dopamine fix, sometimes it even takes days to realize, hey this aint that bad.
