Where do you post your art?
>>78380624chan?
stop being a little kid and just post on all of themstop asking help for every single fucking thing, holy fuck you zoomers are inept
>>7838067I agree. Post your art EVERYWHERE. We need to see how incredibly talented you are, anons!
>>7838067>just accept the man fucking you in the ass
>>7838067nigga>>7838062post in 4chan we love you
>>7838062I don't post it. I don't get likes on Instagram or even responses on 4chan.
>>7838078yeah you're a real rebel posting on 4chan, you're totally anonymous, bet you also post in incognito modefucking broccoli haired dweeb
>>7838078That's gay as fuck, mang.
>>7838085
>>7838062Nowhere? Why do you need to aside from atentnion whoring. If you can't draw without already thinking about posting it somewhere then why even draw. And if you want easy likes just go to insta.
Pixiv, Newgrounds, Insta, Bsky, Twitter, Patreon and sometimes sfw to Tumblr and dA.I only really reply to comments on Patreon. The rest is dump and forget. I'm creating a blog next year.
>>7838092would be great if blogger made a comeback or 90s webrings
>>7838062If everything is shit just post on all of them
>>7838091I've never gotten likes on Instagram
>>7838133this
there's literally nothing wrong with deviantart, people just want to be around the Japanese.
>>7838062Just fucking post it! >DO NOT REPOST Never did shit on the internet and people still screenshot, download, photoshopped. But now an AI can learn the image and make its own version. So let's get the philosophy book out and start lecturing about "SOVL" and "EXPRESSION" even if its just shitty comics and memes. I'm not even an AI fan but this fearmongering is absolutely annoying.
>>7838142It's insane how quickly dA jumped on the Ai bandwagon to give all those new "artists" a place to post their slop.
>>7838149Who said anything about Ai?
>>7838149kill yourself jeet, you will never be an artist and your parents want you to get a job already
unironically, tiktok, those fuckers love those low effort 'animatic' stuff
>>7838155The tweet and context of the user that is in OP's pic is about the AI Update
>>7838062DeviantArt if you have SOVL.Twitter/Instagram if you're a filthy normie...
>>7838142>there's literally nothing wrong with deviantartAI
>>7838062I don’t get the pixiv gripe with artist if they can draw anime style or animeish if they’re not drawing nsfw. All you have to do is google Japanese words to tag your art.
>>7838162>DeviantArt if you have SOVLfucking retard
Deviant Art, Pixiv, Twitter, Instagram, NewGrounds and Tumblr. That's also the order from most engagement to least engagement
>>7838062Fourchan and small discord servers
>>7838062I quit posting my art on socials. as of now I'm just going to bury my art under my bed.
>>7838062Pixiv is good it's just that it's a very art focused space that's mostly used by otakus and is more of a gallery with not much interactivity
>>7838270>deviantart, newgrounds, tumblrDoes anyone even use these sites anymore?
>>7838163They added a filter AI button a long time ago. It has the same exact "AI problem" as twitter. So like I said (and I'm saying the silent part out loud), people just want to be around the Japanese. Plain and simple. No Japanese? Nobody wants to be there. >>7838422It is still active. But hold on a minute, what do you mean by "does anyone even use these sites anymore. YOU could be using those sites. Everyone could repopulate them in a heartbeat. You are not married to Elon Musk. What is this shit.
>>7838062facebook, threads, twitter, vk, cara, pixiv, baraag, instagram, tiktok, youtube, pornhub, motherless, flickr, exhentai, nhentai, telegram channels, reddit, 4chan draw threads, I post them everywhere. Total art autism. I will post everywhere. Everywhere free where I am the product. AI morons will pirate me, and autistic fans will try hard to find my actual pagesIt's all cyclical flow to the drain. I am the autistic drain that will catch all.
>>7838423No Japanese people? They all migrated to Pommu? Oh suddenly I gotta get in on Pommu. >what do you mean they ban foreigners! Oh my god what do we do nooooow? This is basically the weeb effect in a different flavor at this point.
>>7838149Ofc a jeet won't understand that water and a proper living space is important, the love for ai comes in their genes
>>7838428Oh and you can totally see this with how people today complain they didn't get in on Misskey and those that did brag about being on it before they flipped the switch. Why would the braggers brag about this? Your fellow westerners can't see you, only people who you can't interact with their language can see you. It's simply because...western artists>want to be >around>Japanese people

Just 4chan. I had planned on uploading my art to twitter at some point, but as AI became more and more of a focus, it's honestly turned me off from most social media.I don't even hate AI, I just find it's use in the arts and media to be grotesque and immoral - why would I want to contribute to that by giving them my shit? Why don't we all just start a neocities page and link to each other?
>>7838062Anywhere and everywhere, it doesn't matter.Just post it, live is too short to complain about some random ai shit in x.
>>7838488>Why don't we all just start a neocities page and link to each other? In Pixiv and DeviantArt people are more likely find you than you sitting on your own site hoping people stumble in. Pixiv and DeviantArt and NewGrounds has the tag system that allows people to see, search and post certain tags they are interested in and their works subject are about them. So if I want to see newest works from let's say Tifa and/or wrestling, I can simply search those tags and see all that's posted under them.
>>7838473I just send whatever I think they'd like for ego boost.
>>7838487We all die anon, slowly at first then all at once
only here really, I don't draw often or well enough to maintain a presence online. I had an ok stint on Tumblr back in like 2014 and enjoyed posting art there, got to contribute to a fanzine and fun stuff like that before the corners of Tumblr I occupied kinda fizzled out.Now I work full time and go to school full time, so getting my footing online again has been hard
>>7838584>Where do you post your art?>only here really>I don't draw oftenKEK that explains so much of this board
>>7838062MisskeyHope you managed to make an account before they started blocking non-jp ips
>>7839052what does this mean? art is a hobby for me and I'm a busy student, so the volume of work I produce just isn't enough to maintain a strong social media account given how finicky algorithms are.
>>7838078>just accept the femboy fucking you in the assI asked him to come inside. after i invited him in
>>7839092What's stopping you from registering on a instance that doesn't block gaijins?
>>7839277they will know im a gaijin
>>7839280Japs will instareport youThere's nothing they hate more than baka gaijins on their websites, you should read what they post any time someone dares to reply in english on 2chThey can't do anything if you registered early since you're allowed according to the rules, they'll still report you though
If you want to make money with your art you go where there is the most people even though you do not like them while spreading awareness. That's what linux youtubers do, most do not like google and their privacy violating centralized practices yet they're on youtube because that's where the people are and they've converted a lot of people doing so. >>7838078Life isn't fair don't expect it to be, don't expect the people who got the entire world addicted to these social media drugs to suddenly care. The amount of shit people had to do and put up with to be seen before social media became a thing was waay worse than AI slop. Companies still have these awful practices trying to take advantage of artists.>Most comic book companies are pretty much hanging on a thread- not paying their artists. >Wizards of the coast severely underpaying artists for years so much so that the artist usually have to sell tangential things in order to make the actual money they're worth (which Wizards tried to stop... idk if they actually went through with it)>Domestika scamming instructors Honest to god big names are mostly being paid mostly in exposure and did art for these companies specifically for marketing. Finally what makes more sense? Not allowing the maximum amount of people seeing your art increasing your odds of getting a client because some jeet might make a knock off of it, or taking the blow rallying behind "making human work" and getting people who support your cause to actually support you? Those Jeets and AI users weren't going to buy your art anyways, nothing has changed, everyone wants a human touch when dealing with anything otherwise we'd love those automated phone systems.
>>7839285>>7839277whoops
>>7839285Report me for what? I'm not breaking any rules?
Common ngmi misconception. You don't get rich by selling one million blowjobs for $1. You should aim to sell one blowjob for one million dollars. The guy who gave you $1 on Patreon would have given $5-10 if that was the cheapest option.
>>7839289>I'm not breaking any rules?Anon, blocking IPs from outside japan also means gaijin account creation is forbidden, you're literally breaking the rules.
>>7838433geniunely asking, what's wrong with being around Japanese people? I see them as being more nice, generally. Why wouldn't want to be around them? Aside from food, what else is their focus besides art?btw i post all around, not giving all my eggs to musk, beard-nose ring musk or zuck, just some of them.
>>7839319That's only on .io. You know misskey isn't only .io, right? You should know misskey is federated. You're not that retarded, right?
>>7839092>blocking non-jp ipswhen and why?
>>7839335It got raided and spammed by sharty teens
>>7839322>what's wrong with being around Japanese people? It's not the japanese people it's more the weebs who glaze them because they're japanese. Also it seems the other anons were talking about people who like to brag about being on a site where they couldn't interact with anyone because they didn't know the language, which is silly and not at all beneficial to your art career.
>>7838062I post to Instagram, Twitter, and Newgrounds. Good reach without too much to maintain, I think. I'm not so worried about the twitter ai thing, since every site is scraped by third parties for ai anyway, and that you can always just right-click and save on any site anyways.
>>7839092>Hope you managed to make an account before they started blocking non-jp ipsAre they not banning gaijin accounts made before the ip blocks in specific?
>>7839335because they're smart
>>7838062i post my art in schizo threads.
>>7838062deviantart for tg fetish shitinstagram for actually presentable stuffof course ive only actually gained a following and made money with my perverted fetish shit
I post it here and then get told I’m a NGMI permaprebeg and that I should KMS. Still better than posting on Bluesky where I’ll be surrounded by faggots.
>>7838062Cara still exists yeah? If you feel that ai makes the sites shit, post there.I myself only post some stuff here, though. Eventually I'll post on social media.I had always thought I'd post to twitter as my main choice, but their AI dick sucking makes that far less appealing, but I can wait for the next 'big site', so I guess I'll do that.
>>7838162Instagram isn't for art, it's for photography / thots.
tumblr before the nsfw ban was the best social media for artists. shame they went full retard.
>>7839285This is true. Futaba is what normies think 4chan is. They’re bitter losers, suicidal, mentally ill manlets that berate each other because they can’t find spiritual success in their Tokyo wasteland. It’s completely useless to post anything there because it will be completely lost anyways
>>7838062>BlueskyTranny, lazy hyper leftist central, has genuine pedophiles there >Pixiv Not enough social aspects>TumblrDead. Even if it isn't too many moralfags>DADead>ArstationI'm not good enough to post there>EVERYWHERETwatter is fine
I like cara.app sure, there's not much engagement going on but if you want a safe place to post, it's aight
>>7846491Xitter is everything you said about Bluesky while most things in that list being an obsessed exaggeration to begin withget over yourself
Tumblr is great if you want to get away from the uninterested masses. Because it has been filtered of FILTHY CASUALS, only ride-or-die fans pop up there. I'd rather 20 active accounts who want my every post than 2000 dubiously active accounts who don't even remember following me or liking anything I made.Posting at all just lets me catalogue my art for free. For fun.
>>7846786Tumblr has been overrun by fake nostalgia tiktok teens though
>>7838062it doesn't matter where you post, you just need to put yourself out there by having positive interactions with other people and catering to a specific niche. Twitter and newgrounds are preferred but discord and other things are great for this too
>>7838062So it is safe to assume every anime artist on X and 4chan are third worlders nowadays right?
>>7846727You can tell pedophiles to drink lead on Twatter and you don't have to kowtow to looney troons. I'm a lefty myself in everything but that, I hate those people
>>7838062>wah wah I didn't get 5000 likes on my first post this place is hell for artists! If you think like that then give up or adapt and just post often and build a following.I post on X(might hold off on X or post gif versions until AI is sorted out), bsky, insta(been posting doodle sessions every day there and tiktok which are doing well and getting people into drawing), deviantart and tumblr.I've never used newgrounds much for posting but I might start there too.The numbers are small but growing, I'm able to get commissions, and in a few months I'll see where I'm at and make plans for making something a little grander.
>>7839255she's just a terminally online beglet, don't mind the crabs
>>7838062Artists, are you notified when someone uses the edit button on one of your images on twitter?did it a few times on some art (to see what all the noise was about) and artist made a strange tweet which is leaving me wondering if they were notifed about it or something

>>7838062Why is bluesky shit?
>>7838062What exactly do you need? I can build a site.
>>7848184These retards don't need anything aside from a popular social media site that can display images (quality negligible). Twitter becomes the only real option with this mindset, but stars thankfully aligned just right to make it unappealing to basically everyone and not just non-retards.
>>7848184i can draw the logo!
>>7838062It's all in my head :(
>>7838078faggot
>>7848180A few reasons.>No algorithm + it being not-an-art-siteYou have to actually find and participate in public peacocking social structures. This is annoying if you want to just be an artist rather than a social media influencer faggot, and some shithead can easily destroy you if they have more influence.>Blocklists are integrated and rampantClearsky lets you see what things some megalomaniac has put you on. This can dramatically fuck you over if someone in charge of larger lists has slapped you on one maliciously or out of stupidity, even if the people ignorantly subbed would otherwise like your work and would disagree. You have to take up your users' feed AND your own time by showing fealty to bigger accounts through sharing their work and hoping they share yours in kind, as well as commenting on their shit and hoping people click your icon to see what you're all about. Very annoying. The alternative, which is just site-agnostic, is to actually share your work in places like discord servers and get people to follow you from there. But you still need your own self-controlled gallery and to use bsky/twitter/etc as an advertising or feed platform to just provide updates. It's all very silly.
With how so many are just straight up complete and absolute nutjobs, obsessed with petty drama and social games or straight up heavily on the autistic spectrum that shouldn't be left on their own, no platform is safe now.If you're not one of those people, you will not have a good time.
>>7850259How is any of that unique to bluesky?
>>7850259>No algorithmHow is that a bad thing?
I never show it to anyone. My brother's family might look at it after I die. Not that it's much of a loss, I can't draw worth shit.
>>7852361Bsky has the unique situation where it is a microblogging site - and thus lacks the ability to add much in terms of searchable data to your posts so people can find it - while also having no algorithm to aid in discovery. Plenty of places without an algo existed before, but they had the ability to add tags, sort into categories, add a description, title, and so on. Bsky's search ability is ass, and your own page will get distorted by having to publicly share all kinds of other crap from other people. You cannot keep it "clean, and just the art.">>7852378An algo allows you to be discovered by people who would like what you like through basic clustering of "similar people like this" to the viewers. Your audience behaves in certain ways, and new people who appear similar to those who already follow you will be shown your work. It's immensely helpful.Obviously its bad when you have to jump through hoops, but learning how to EFFECTIVELY utilize any website is just part of marketing yourself and you'd be an idiot if you don't bother to even try to understand it.
>>7852963>lacks the ability to add much in terms of searchable data to your posts so people can find itDog, are you adding fucking essays to your art? You get 300 characters, what exactly are you trying to write in there?Bsky's discoverability is fine granted you're not a self-important cunt and actually interact with people. On any platform, you do not get the majority of your followers through 'going viral' in the algorithm. You get followers from reposts by your existing followers.
>>7852963This is a flat out lie.
>>7852963>and thus lacks the ability to add much in terms of searchable data to your posts so people can find itAnons, you sound like the type of person who puts 5000 different unrelated hashtags on your posts to cheese the fucking Xhitter algo.
>>7848180Don't they ban a lot of shit they don't like like roris and rape
>>7853301Since when is Bluesky based as fuck
>>7853301I've seen drawn depictions of rape, loli, and shota on it so that's not banned.
>>7838062I post my art on /ic/
I post here first, always. Then when I either see a mistake or it gets pointed out, then I address it and post it on social media
>>7853301>rapeThe rules say so (which is retarded), but I've seen plenty of it so I'm guessing it's not enforced or they're extremely lax about what's considered rape. But it's always temporary anyway, fictional crimes always get the boot when things start going to shit.
