A lot of you want to become big artists on social media yet are so complacent and stuck in your victim mindset and it’s actively contributing to your stagnation. There are artists, both big and small, trying to inform you about the steps you can be taking to legitimately improve your experience on social media and potentially grow a career, yet so many of you will find a million and one excuses to not have to move out of fear, ignorance, or ambivalence.Obviously there are people who have things going on in their lives that contribute to them not being able to give their all into their career paths, but the cohort of people that have gotten so used to not bettering their chances of success due to being inconsistent in their approach to posting and/or not knowing how business in social media works in relation to art would much rather sit behind their shields of nihilism, ignorance, and victimization instead of doing the work of being part of a community to promote each other and make sure we all have something to eat at the end of the day besides depression.Luck is an undeniably huge factor of building an online status as an artist, but consistency and quality is what will ultimately keep people around. Success is found through sacrifice, self reflection, and having faith in oneself to achieve their dreams, and community is built through everyone sacrificing a little bit of something for the common and greater good, those willing to put forth the effort and do the work will bear the fruits of the labor while those who stagnate and refuse to change their way of thinking will forever have seeds in a garden that will never grow.
>>7839609I animate and once tried to collaborate with a musician here hoping we could help eachother out. Checked their socials only to find career-ending edgelord meme slop clogging the place and very little about music. Some people don't want to put in the work but sure as hell want you to put them on.
>>7839609pywI just find it unfair when I made social media thread, they were always get deleted. But you fuckers keep posting garbage like this. FUCK /ic/. FUCK JANNIES.
>>7839620Advertising is technically against the rule, not that that matters much, but it's one of the few rules the jannies actually do consistently enforce for some reason. Also >>7839609pyw
>>7839626I'm not advertising anything, you retard. It's the same type of these threads. Talking about social media algo changes and related stuff. FUCK /ic/. FUCK JANNIES. FUCK OP. FUCK YOU.
>>7839609I saw this post on twitter. Didn't like it there, like it even less here. But that may be a function of it being someone's measured response to a situation I'm not personally invested in.That said, consistency is very much key. I post once in a blue moon and have kinda stagnated. I make a lot more art, but most of it is for clients or confidential projects.1) You're unoriginal.2) Post your original work.>>7839616That shit bothers me, admittedly. I try not to engage very often in the reply-farming side of it. It's unhealthy, and there's very much a sense of people wanting to step on each other to get ahead.silly little painting of clouds i did for a video game
>>7839609Made me laugh you motherfucker
>>7839609You are screaming into the void that represents the absence of the brains of the beglets you're addressing.I wholeheartedly agree with you, but sadly you're just wasting your time.
>>7839709>>7839609Oh, it's just copy pasta. Safe.
>>7839609Why does everyone on the Internet think we want to hear their "truths" and hot takes?
this same post is on my timeline.
>>7839609what if i only post my art here and nowhere else
>>7839746I also do this, social media feels stressful. I just wanna draw and a couple of (you)s will keep me fed for days
>>7839717Nobody really thinks that. We just hope some of it might stick with those of you that aren't complete lost causes. The true idiots never learn.
>>7839609I made an art profile many months ago. I don't know what to do with it other than post my own art and retweet some stuff every once and a while. I gained some followers, but asides from the fanarts of known characters, it's rare for me to get a single like on my drawings. I have a personal profile that I use a lot and get some engagement, but I don't want to use it as my art account.
>>7839609It would help if I actually got retweeted for my drawings. I did put the work in for 5 years, I blame my audience of Nigerians and those cowards in DM's
>>7839692christ, this board really is deadty anon
>>7839711just because it's copy and paste doesn't make it any less truetoo many of you fuckers are beyond coddled manchildren and will one day rope once all the things that enable your easy living are gone and it's going to be sudden and disastrous because you can no longer ignore what you should have done 10 years ago
>>7840012Get a grip, anon. It's not that serious
>>7840087then stop bitching on here about it
>>7839981This entire site is just Twitter regurgitation at this point. We've gone past screencaps and are now just copypasting straight from the tweet itself.
>>7840082It's hilarious how many anons think they'll be living in some badass Mad Max fantasy when in reality they'd starve to death just like anyone else who doesn't know how to grow their own food
>>7840092To be honest, I haven't even read all of the tweet. I just saw a bunch of people pissed at them so I reposted it for the lolz.
>>7839609I miss when this board was about art and not being an online shill
