How much is too much to charge for commissions?
As much as as you can get away with, my sharty friend.
>>7840000Charging the same as commercial work as you would for private commissioned work is stupid. The reason you charge so much for commercial work is because you're also giving them rights to use the work in a commercial way, and also judging how much to charge based on what you perceive the benefit of your own image and art will bring the brand. This guy must be god like to have the balls to charge $200+ a fucking hour.More so, because he clearly isn't getting enough work to purely depend on just the commercial work that's coming in.
>>7840009>This guy must be god like to have the balls to charge $200+ a fucking hour.Eh. You be judge
The Ai shills won't like this thread.
>>7840015putrid, the hues make her look like a corpse and the anatomy looks fucked. I'd rather have AI slop, which this probably is anyway
$100 for one character. It's just "draw my OC with her tits out" stuff.I only open commissions through my Patreon (to around 1k paid and unpaid Patrons).
>>7840015I wouldn't even pay 5 dollars for this, guess he's preying on literal retards
>>7840009>This guy must be god like to have the balls to charge $200+ a fucking hour.He is a convention artist, he probably makes bank so he only works if the pay is that high. That's how I read it. He probably get no long-term work with that rate im sure
>>7840045>>7840062>>7840457Holy seethe, no one cares about your shit taste, troons. Come back when you can make actual money with your scribbles.
>>7840545xer's not going to fuck you, mate
>ITT: inkcels who don't know how to haggle
>>7840555>>7840558Money is everything, troons. Your garbage taste holds no value, so shut the fuck up or hang yourself
Are you really upset that artists live off commissions? Did you honestly expect everyone to use AI and settle for slop? Is the world supposed to end just because you’re unhappy?
>>7840009>This guy must be god like to have the balls to charge $200+ a fucking hour.Usually people have a day rate, but the way I see this is that this particular artist does not want to work hourly so they are putting a high enough price tag that it's worth their time. Just because something is priced at a certain point does not mean that's what they think their product is worth. Pricing is the bait on the line to see if there are any takers, if someone gets desperate enough they may lower the rate or have a sale/discounted rate. They may be talked down or up during negotiations. Prices aren't set in stone which is why this person says >at this timeThey do not want to waste time with the common gooners and are going whale hunting. If not he may just want the gooners to continue to give him $3000/month while he moves into a more professional field.
>>7840000It is not hard to get eh nvm no one ever believes my numbers whenever I talk about it so fuck it just go learn trad and find out
>>7840545Why are you so upset lmao
>>7840015HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>7840015Why are sharteens pretending this is bad?
>>7840015>220 per hour for generic tranime slop
I'm going to assume you are an artist since we are on /ic/. You would be the artist in this transaction. Are you complaining about getting paid too much?
>>7840971You assume wrong because a sharty tranny made this thread.
>>7840971Artists hate seeing other artists that are bigger than them
>>7840015This is obviously very good...but its not like he drew anything interesting. Not a niche fetish or a fun pose, just a generic pinup.
>>7840000supply and demand. generally, if you have a lot of people DMing you for commissions, you raise prices to thin the requests of poor quality customers. ironically, clients willing to pay $200+ for work are usually easier to work with and are less entitled. cheap clients are insufferable
>>7840015This rendering is terrible
>>7840946If you didn't know better you would probably scream that it's AI.
>>78400001$ per brush stroke, 0.50$ per ctrl+z
