If your drawing looks weird it is proportions.
It is always proportions.
>w-what if the perspective is wrong
Proportions
>B-but what if the anatom-
proportions
>my line weight sucks
Still proportions
>>

you'll realize how naive and incomplete this conclusion is when your freelance career is stunted because all you can do is YCHs
proportions are one of the most important things, but you're fooling yourself to think it's every problem.
>>
>>7845860
Only when a drawing looks weird
>>
>>7845861
"weird" is a vague term. you can over-render a piece with bad values making it look weird. you can have correct proportions, but have poor line overlap that implies a conflicting perspective, making it look weird. you can have flattening elements (poorly done hair is a big one) that makes everything look weird.
>>
>>7845863
that means the proportions of its forms are wrong
poor line overlap means the proportion of a form is wrong in that perspective, something is larger or longer than another thing
that is the hair's proportion being wrong
>>
>>7845869
you're stretching terms to fit a flawed theory for things that were solved by people before you, or you're trolling. i can't tell.
>>>/ic/beg/
good luck
>>
>>7845871
explain how that is wrong
>>
>>7845873
it's self-evident.
>poor line overlap means the proportion of a form is wrong in that perspective, something is larger or longer than another thing
this alone ignores the scenario initially presented in favor of a contrived issue that implies the two hypothetical objects in question are different sizes, when the scenario i gave could showcase the potential mistake even if both objects were the same size and proportion.
then you go on to say
>that is the hair's proportion being wrong
which is so removed from anything factual or useful that it shouldn't even be engaged
you'd do well on yourself to not think you have all of this shit figured out
>>
>>7845882
a line wrongly overlapping something can only happen if something was of the wrong size. you can replicate that irl with balloons/origami/building up your muscle or in 3d programs and see that would only happen if a form was disproportionally sized compared to the other form

i refuse to argue semantics with someone who willfully ignores what im saying and clearly does not understand the limitations of the picture plane when comparing it to both digital and true/irl/stereoscopic 3d, or how it can be used to create optical illusions based on purely on overlap and value like pic related
again, go to the /beg/ thread, and good luck
>inb4 "the proportion is different for the lines because some lines that would be continuous are cut off when the illusion is applied in your image, proving me right"
whatever helps you sleep at night
a thread died for this btw
>>
>>7845917
>posts an optical illusion to prove his point
lmao
>>
>>7845919
i accept your concession
>>
>>7845924
what concession? if you are seeing your forearm at an angle and the lines overlap the arm, then if you draw instead the arm's line overlapping the forearm instead in that angle the only possible way for that to happen is if their proportions were completely wrong in that space making you see them overlap the other way

hopeless ngmi niggers, i fucking love this board
>>
>>7845854
average 300 iq knower

>>7845863
those things are so simple that they are not even worth mentioning
>>
blah blah blah how do you master proportions? 8 heads confuses me, surely there's a better way?
>>
>draw a anime girl
>it looks off
>to fix it I wuold have to draw it from scratch because every line and element needs to be shifted
>can't use liquify because the drawing is too small and detailed
>and it would be an hour of surgery with no guarantee that it'll look good
its so fucking retarded that drawing something bad more effort than drawing something good. If you draw a a good drawing, it just comes out easily due to talent and skill. but a shitter is stressfully focing every unnatural line our of their hand while being miserable the whole time. Shitty artists work magnitudes harder than good artists for a fraction of the result.
>>
>>7846569
Pros correct all the time off-looking drawings, they just do it at the beginning when it isn't an issue.
Also they did suffer just as you are now, they kept going, you can do the same anon.

post one good successful artist with a backlog of shitty art

Sinix also had shitty drawings when he started, I think he was even a 4channer.

post real exaples with art posted online and unedited, not just what they want to show in a video.
>>
>>7846580
Nigga you really believe artists are drawing shitty art just to psyop begs? I can't help you anymore.
>>
>>7846583
if they are showing it off in a video then it was pre-curated. Post a DA account or something where you can see the truth.
>>
>>7846586
anon you may be retarded if you think someone is uploading that shit to the internet lol
>>
>>7846605
so you're saying there are no artists that started posting their stuff online when they were beg and grinded until they became good?
>>
>>7846610
https://www.deviantart.com/cutesexyrobutts/gallery/all?order=oldest
This is probably the best I can offer you, but no, no sane person would upload whatever pre-beg sinix and marco were doing back then.
>>
>>7846628
I'll accept that. I was just crabbing, sorry for wasting your time.
>>
>>7846635
No worries man I'm sure it will be useful to someone else wondering if pros are only talented dudes.
Just keep drawing and you'll improve.
