https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY5e95vSsMMIs this nigga grifting or nah? I get the feeling he only got mild success from being mentored by pro Jap artist Kakage for 3 years and he's just shilling copium
>>7850639buy an ad nigger
>>7850639I wish I had a mentor...
>>7850639buy an ad
>>7850647>>7850642You really think Oridays would post on here?
>>7850649hi oridays
>>7850649Yeah. I hope you make that half a milly on your course, bro.
bump
Just learn moonrunes and stop giving a fuck about some literal whos.>it's too late X>i will never be japanese X>AI translation is better X
>>7850767So oridays is just grift slop?
>>7850639>permabeg calls zymself a pro>3d model tracing>horrendous use of light and colors>can't nail the anime faces Fucking kek'd. Guess any retard with a big youtube will get their ego stroked into dunning krueger levels; as proved by pwedipie
>>7850639It's always a little dispiriting when someone says "see, look at these irredeemably terrible drawings I made as a beginner! This shows how anyone can improve!" and they're still vastly superior to anything I've ever made.
>>7851984Well you see, Oridays was bred in an underground Blackrock plant to invoke feelings of envy and inadequacy in fellow artists. If you let your spirit falter, you let (((them))) win.
>>7851984you are worse than this?
>>7850639not a single fucking drawing of yours in the video. worthless.
>bro it's never too late just follow your dreams>has an advantage 99% of people will never have access toevery time
>>7852078He’s a Coloso plant. Same with the other guy with that Bocchi art improvement video. And ironically both of them haven’t uploaded a single piece of art in years but keep making improvement videos. Really makes you think.
>>7852134Yeah, their advantage is that they draw and you don't
>>7852090Yes
>>7852248quit the hobby then, there's no hope for you. i don't mean this as an insult, i think giving up is a worthwhile skill that can save you a lot of pointless grief and anxiety. you know about the sunk cost fallacy but you have to think about the opportunity cost as well.
>>7852248Grim.
>>7852138>both of them haven’t uploaded a single piece of art in years but keep making improvement videosalways funny when you watch their recentmost video, and they still credit the same career achievements and show off the same exact 4-6 drawings they've shown as an example in every video for 3 years.>>7852147as OP mentions, ori simped in some jap pro artist livestream chat until he got a mentorship + free exposure
>>7850639His art seems fine but I would not consider him pro. I like his memorization method, something a lot of teachers don't seem to really dive into.
>>7850639>Is this nigga griftingHe is ok, but he barely posts any drawings and hasn't even posted art since aug last year. Like, does he even draw anymore? Is he creating art courses all this time?
>>7852248It takes 10k hours to get good at something. You probably spent 10 hours drawing spread across days at 10 minutes each.
>>7851578its so fucking easy to tell when these anime "artists" are tracing 3d models by looking at the knees and hands. they always have this roundness to them that shows that they don't know how knees work when bent. apparently this SEAmonkey has 11k hours into art based on a video i skimmed through which is clearly a fucking lie. I bet he counted the time he spent making his shitty /beg/bait videos as part of his time counter.
>>7850639>artist isn't a japnot watching
>>7853037HOW THE FUCK IS HE NOT A JAPWHAT THE FUCK?
he's a teacher so I'll listen to him about his science and strategy based learning methods.
>>7850774>art youtuberofc he is
>>7852909Realizing this saved me. I only saw actual improvement when I spent a year dedicating several hours per day to consciously studying art (reading theory, doing studies, etc.). Prior to that, I would scribble a pose I was comfortable with from mildly different angles or lazily copy one limb from an ecorché, do that like once every two weeks and bemoan that I was a shitter who simply could not learn or improve
>>7851984Same
>>7851984he has drawn for nearly 10000 hoursyou have not
>>7850639They aren't bad, but there's nothing particularly advantageous about starting late as opposed to starting sooner. That still doesn't mean you don't have ENOUGH time to become successful.
