Like how can you build a crowd that gives you a good amount of commissions from scratch if you don't want to do nsfw work? and what about concept art ? Is it absolute too?

you're better off learning animation

Try fanart of stuff you enjoy. There's no reason to worry about money when you can't even get social media followers.
Also don't listen to the Ai doomers.

I will try in the future to open a page and see how it goes. But it really hurts man, I was really wanting to make a living out of it . I live in a third world country so I don't need that much, but I can't see myself stopping from drawing and improving, I love this shit

Building an online presence is going to take years. Start now. It's not a lot of work. It just takes time.

>Like how can you build a crowd that gives you a good amount of commissions from scratch if you don't want to do nsfw work?
Well, this was a debate even before AI. That said, if you do manage to build an audience, they're likely to buy commissions from you, as they're a fan not just of art in general, but of YOUR art specifically.
>and what about concept art ?
As far as I know, the industry isn't going through job-losses, but it likely you'll have to use AI to some extent, but given how dull the art was in the concept art community, and how rife techniques like photo bashing are/were, it's hardly shocking that they were so quick to take up AI.

>That's a good thing, post more
>Then create one
>AI is getting better, so what?
>Don't use Twitter, then
The internet, like with VHS, DVD and Blueray, was built on porn. Because you can't copyright AI, it's main use is either as a stock photo replacement for photobashing or advertising, which is already in use. Wanting to build an art career before AI was dubious enough, nowadays you'll really have to commit to it, if you want results. Normies don't care about end product, but the customers you'll want to attract does. It's not rocket science, anon.

Where to find those customers?

You’re paying for a drawing. There’s no formal contract and it’s for personal, non-commercial use only. That’s how the vast majority of artists you see on social media operate. At the end of the day most of them are hobbyists.
Most of the time the money isn't even that important.
>>

Firstly, just use social media and draw what people want. Supply and demand. It doesn't matter what you think about AI, just use Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Secondly, you're in it for the wrong reasons if you think you're going to get a lot of money out of this. Seeing successful people earning lots of money on art is survivor's bias. Find joy in drawing, and whatever monetary gains you have is a bonus.
>>
You have to be really good to get any meaningful audience AI only took over lower levels so it's not that different from before
>>
Someone who wants a drawing from their favorite artist. That’s the kind of clients you will get on social media. Draw muh OC for some money.
You’re not competing with AI or other artists. The real issue is that you’re not anyone’s favorite artist yet because you don’t really share your work online.

This is an excuse and you know it.

See above.
>Like how can you build a crowd that gives you a good amount of commissions from scratch if you don't want to do nsfw work?
Same as always: make things people want to give you money for.
>>
>>7853858
Looks good enough for normalfags

Just say Indians.
>>
>>7853864
Buddy, pal, Ultima Weapon, go outside, even in motherfucking JAPAN there are MANGAS winning AWARDS at fucking manga contests, they have gotten so good that they are unironically passing, and thats not considering the fact that there are actual japanese fags that like AI garbage.
Give it a few more years and the shift will occur, unless the bubble bursts things will only get worse.

>>7853864
Don’t me racist. We call them jeets on here
>>
>>7853867
trying too hard
>>
>>7853850
It’s always original characters. Nobody commissions fan art of popular characters. As an artist on social media you get approached by fans who want to support artists, not businesspeople who just need someone to get a job done. Lots of people collect drawings of their OCs. You get a lot of repeat customers trying to snatch a slot whenever you open commissions.
>>
>>7853872
I mean how to find those said customers, I dont find OCfags on social media as often anymore.
>>
>>7853875
They find you.
>>

You underestimate normies
