The world is my workstation at this point; drawing with procreate on an iPad is pretty awesome, I'll just draw wherever. The idea of returning to a work station feels weird now, feels kind of restraining.

Books I used for reference are put on shelves that are more readily available. I installed corner guard, like the one that were used for baby proofing and then prop a thin drawing board on top if it, but its precarious and often falls down so its mainly a concept right now.

Originally I thought putting the tablet on its own table would promote focus but it makes effective multi-tasking difficult; if you wanted to lookup reference or having something else going on. Besides the fact that you have to swing your body around to do anything else, often the cursor gets stuck or missing in one of the screens due to confusions of how to navigate it, and its not really worth it to try to form a habit around this setup, not unless I wanted to pair the tablet with its own system, but I don't have spare device to do that right now.

>>7860241CSP was actually my first digital drawing experience back in 2020 that I had been using up until 2022 when I upgraded from an old XPPEN to an Ipad. I hated the Ipad at first but I forced myself to use it because the resolution was higher than my XPPEN at the time and I guess investment fallacy. Eventually though after a few years of using it I got pretty used to it and didn't get the Wacom you see on the left of that image until like ealry 2024 I think. Tried to get into using the Wacom but still to this day I've never finished a piece using CSP and I only find myself using the Wacom over the Ipad for Drawpile
