I'm starting a comic project, and I want to publish it in the web from day 1, so I can work with the feedback mostly. What is the best way to host it, that doesnt require to make a site from scratch?

I plan to publish one chapter per month, of about 5 to 10 pages each. Its some light erotic fantasy similar to Oglaf or Ranma 1/2

Lol, why should I tell you? Literally helping a competitor. I’m not that retarded.

Id assume just throwing it on every website available would be the best, I dont know what allows porn. Maybe also post on patreon abit early

Shit anon, me too and the internet for us right now is either yaoi infested trash sites like webtroon or degenerate cesspool like xwitter i think we should just make our own site or pay some Russian guy on fiver idk but I'm close to my breaking point.
Regardless wishing you all the best anon!

Well my plan at the moment(besides crunching on production) is to put it all on Comicfury and Hentaifoundry(except for maybe the most graphic sex scenes), all the while releasing updates and related developments on both pixiv and probably a twitter page.

Personally I dont think that opting out of your own website is a good idea, you'd have to tackle that at some point and decide how granular you want to go with it, you could tinker with rarebit or go with wordpress or squarespace, at the end of the day having your own platform/domain does help bring a more 'professional' presentation to your efforts.

The problem is always figuring out a strategy thats tailored to your goals/needs, theres like x amount of reddit threads on the matter with lots of info on how to go about it.

Im also dabbling on an erotic comic of sorts, borderlining NSFW. Its more like a b-movie inspired serial so closer to a fleshed out story with spicy scenes rather than just a straight up porn comic. Im aiming for that middle ground aesthetic of saturday cartoons and old anime(still working on character dev atm). Not sure if monetization is something you are also considering but if it is, depending on your location, you may need to do some lenghty research work on how to manage your potential earnings all the while keeping a low profile, lest paypal decide to restrict your account for some fleeting reason.

Of course, shotgunning it or posting your stuff everywhere is also valid, again it all depends on what your goals are, heck Id even consider streaming part of my process to youtube/twitch/kick. Not sure why some of the other anons in here are so scared of open discourse, its quite unlikely that we'd end up as direct competitors in fact, its more likely that if we share certain tags we could potentially help one another network out of obscurity.

Anyhow, I hope this is at least a bit helpful and best of luck with your endeavours.

Well, there's the obvious ones like webtoon and such.
If you're willing to host your own site, there is that web comic tool that was recently kickstarted that should make making a comic site and posting to it a breeze (if I'm understanding how it works) called comix cleric, though that will only be useful if you're willing to wait for its release - they actually also offer hosting options and such too, if you take a gander at their site.

But, I'm assuming what you're really after is only free option, and since you're asking, options that aren't obvious (like webtoons)...
You could try a site like neocities, nekoweb, or github pages, and just copy/paste the framework for a comic site - no need to go crazy with your own code, or even write any at all. Though updating your site will be a bit of a hassle, as you will have to copy/paste code for a new page, and change out the pieces for that new comic page.
Be aware that by relying on platforms like neocities, you have to follow their rules, and if you go to far in adult content, they may just ban you... though nekoweb might actually be okay with adult content, so check that (I'm not doing to for you, lol).

I love crabs. So comically hostile, and yet it's hard to blame them. It really is a dog eat dog world out here, especially these days with how crowded the internet is

thanks a lot anons! I am actually very noob and I don't know what is the usual ways to do this. I am very fine with some wordpress or the like; though maybe there is some more "specialized" platform for comics.

When I say I don't want my own web i mean like "making it from scratch" as I dont know htmlcode or similar, and I should focus on learning actual drawing than in that hahah. I don't even know how to monetize it, but it's not the priority right now.

Gonna check all the page names you dropped and see,

Good luck to you all bros. Lets make it
