Got Peter Han's Dynamic Bible as a gift. Anything I should know before jumping in with the exercises? Any tips for the exercises? I seem to have particular trouble with textures, hatching and intersecting forms.

I tried Drawabox a few times already and found it quite discouraging and boring, but I also heard that Drawabox is just a watered down iteration of Peter Han's teachings. What makes this resource better than Drawabox?

That's it, though it's most likely the other way around. The reason it's better is because the general fundamentals of drawing can be taught in a 10 minute video, but the explanation of how to learn it can vary a lot. Han's book reads a bit like notes, which is a very great and concise format, whereas Drawabox is a blog focused on keeping a Patreon subscriber base happy. More content vs precise explanations.
I prefer volume 2, though. Not so many bugs.

Peter Han's course is about 4 weeks of good exercises followed by him dunking on noobs for another 4 weeks. Dynamic Sketching 2 even more so.

>What makes this resource better than Drawabox?
-Doesn't impose retarded material restrictions
-The artist behind it is arguably better at drawing
-Concise, to the point, no fluff or humiliation rituals
-Does not make you pay a patreon for 24 months with arbitrarily gated reviews of your work
-The cover is nice

Is anyone else going through Dynamic Sketching?

No one.

I'll try it out later this week I think. I find drawabox a bit dry

Someone shared Charles Hu's Dynamic Sketching course before.

No but my wife is drawing in ink only after I showed her Dynamic Sketching

What exactly is difference between the course by charles and the one by peter? I guess the core principles are gonna be the same

Dunno, I just hoard.

One of my Visual Communications class went over some of his stuff and it really improved how I sketched and studied. Was this a recent gift? I’ve been trying to get a physical copy for a while now and couldn’t find one anywhere.
