They don't just produce one anime booba picture of muscular pregnant futa Tifa from ffvii they produce hundreds of images. And then dozens of people around them are doing the same. It's gotten to the point where AI art is all starting to feel like it's all coming from one guy who works exclusively in that generic melted anime ice cream style. The potential to make AI better is there of course. Proompters with any knowledge of art history could be feeding their models a range of art and illustration from all over the world. But instead they just seem to cram it full of booru content because those sites are easy to scrape. The potential for some cool shit is there, but it'll be unique and interesting AI work that stands out enough to last through this initial period of genetic slop.
