How did Junji Itou get his girls to have such rounded faces? What's the trick to having such gorgeous eyes as well?

Its not that simple. You have to grind 1 million boxes first
>>

next time you reply to a thread think: "am i responding to a nodraw who draws less than an hour a week?" and you'll vastly cut down on 1. your posting frequency 2. your frustration

true, not that anon, ic is mainly a <5 min break during >8 hour drawing sessions, personally, the amount of cope and mental gymnastics that people will go through in order to avoid drawing it insane
>>

jesus christ guys am I that /beg/? Just wanted to know why no one draws as pretty as he does
>>
>>7868446
ask yourself simply, why do (YOU) think he "draws as pretty as he does"
>>
>>7868446
>no one draws as pretty as he does
that's your taste speaking. your ability to draw curves will obviously depend on how used you are to using a pen to draw curves, while style will be a combination of early influences and the liberties you yourself take as you accrue experience.

otherwise ito is indeed fantastic, though not unmatched.

Junji Ito published Tomie on a Shoujo manga magazine in the late 80s and his readers are primarily young ladies so that's why his art is so pretty, doll-like.
Shoujo manga isn't just romance, teen girls and young women like horror a lot, and I'm pretty sure that even American horror is aimed primarily at them.
>TLDR
>Study old shoujo manga
