Do you have any characters you're too afraid to draw? What are they and why do you find them difficult?

Any gacha slop chracters since they are always overdesigned with 500 random details.

Same, it’s not a matter of being too scared to draw but moreso how tiresome it can be and I just don’t have the patience. I try to make my characters designs as simple as possible for that reason

Isn't that just a naked girl (basically), and a girl in long pants? What makes them scary to draw? I suppose they're more realistic, if that's something you're bad at, but otherwise they're pretty basic designs.

I wonder if they do that specifically so that only talented people who will put in the effort will make their fanart

Most fanart basicly just scales down the detail or draws them in the same few generic sexy outfits.

no, but i’ve been trying to understand how the two main characters i draw work for an age now, and i keep getting closer, but still don’t fully understand everything. my rabbit hole goes very deep.
the original artist uses very specific shape design and conflicting patterns of inked stroke flow even in just the hair design that produce an effect that, when not understood, makes the soul of the characters not fully translatable. and it’s uniquely designed and feels very different for both of them. my anatomy always needs plenty more work too, as a base.
also difficult to realize are things like the diabolically complex costuming. it’s really beautiful, and i keep picking up more small things to help me.
>for instance, it was so cold last night when i had to leave that i shrugged on my dad’s old leather jacket, and just stood there a while double taking at how all the separately distinctive seams and patches fit together, how the material catches the light, how it clung and folded around my form when i raised and bent my arms at the elbows, and that it really is very soft and warm, and would probably feel like a small pleasant heater, like carrying the feeling of your family with you, on freezing nights.
there are so many little things i didn’t know, and it all helps.

Gundam or Transformers type of robots. The have zero expressivity and I'm not a huge fan of industrial drawings so I'm very reluctant to practice that. Any robots that don't look like a car are fine.

not chars , but Mecha-girls, though i love the concet, the complexity of the mechanical parts and my autism perfectionism doesn't help
