In OP's pic on the left while there is obvious improvements such as the main artist actually drawing the MC's fucking hands, more detail in the BG, the big thing is that the artist changed the design of thee characters. Different eyes, different hair, different noses, the way the hair is renderded, almost all of it is different in some way.I wouldnt call it bad, its not like Araki and the way he tries to draw the old Part1-4 Jojo characters nowadays(fucking atrocious) but you get to the point where it stops being about style and more about these looking like 2 different characters.

Right's faces literally like someone dragged around the eyes, noses, etc. around until it kinda fits. Absolutely disgusting.

They change their stylization to appeal to a broader audience3. They start off drawing on paper and then move to digital, which allows them to do things they weren't able to4. They change it to a stylization that's faster to produce or easier on their health.
