Bit of an embarrassing question, but any advice on not making a mess in my pants when drawing?As an example, I was drawing an ass and then got a little too excited trying to make it bigger. I then quickly had to throw on some used pajamas because I knew a minute later I'd be blasting pre again and staining perfectly good underwear. I did a quick exercise on picrel, but I'm throwing lines just as I go. I think you should chose one of Crumbs simplest figures and copy it to get a start on it, and I think you will pick up the gist of it easily. I find it very similar to pixel art, the lines are very unforgiving, if you place one out of order or angle it shows, but also it can be pretty effective and simple to work with when done right.

In fact, having layers can make quick area selections easier and they of course keep the editability at max, while paying the effort of layer management back with interest.

Some of the details like the neck muscles look overly defined for a feminine character, but that's just the lack of ability to convey subtler edge-surface transitions.The lines look like they were excessively processed, so you might wanna adjust your zoom until your lines feel more confident and it supports your arm/wrist/elbow/shoulder movements in a way that hits the optimal rotational thresholds (this can vary depending on how your arm is supported). Write down your zoom percentage if you find a good one. Personally I find it best when you zoom until the canvas touches the very edges of your screen, you check out the zoom percentage, then multiply that by x.0.79 and stick to that for your sketching/painting, and then 1.00 or /0.79 for the rest. On CSP, I replace the zoom presets every time I start work on a new project to make sure I'm not off from my optimal zoom by even one percent, because it will determine at least 50% of my drawing skill potential and efficiency.
