Do you have a piece of your art that you love in every way, but hate one detail and think it ruins the whole thing?

In this piece, it's the halo light on the hair. The hair it looks too flat, and it fucking irritates me, even though I'm otherwise happy with everything.

Share your work and tell me what detail really pisses you off in what you consider a perfect piece

When I'm done with a piece I immediately shred it burn it or delete it

yeah. i know the problem. its that you are getting tripped up on that one part. I didn't even notice that part really. I just saw the whole thing.
I'm not posting my work though.

I just wanted to create a beautiful accent on this hair, to make it look deeper and more voluminous, but it turned out flat and dull. It looks like small clumps of hair are simply glued to my head. I didn't achieve what I wanted, so I'm drawing attention to this detail; I think this is the case with all artists

im gonna burst your bubble and say that the entire image is pretty flat, so rendering 3d shapes into his hair wouldve made the flatness of everything else stand out.
honestly it looks fine as it is, there's something to be said about going too far into one style and it throwing off the entire piece.

I don't know, everything below the face doesn't seem flat to me. On the contrary, what's below is precisely the effect I wanted in this particular drawing. As for the style, this piece was actually experimental (in terms of colors and brushes, for example). But thank u haha
