>Capcom has an internal anatomical drawing manual passed down to artists to ensure characters capture the “essence of Capcomness.” Is this available in full anywhere?
>>7879911i've only seen excerpts
I've seen a few pages around.
if you google "capcom anatomy book" it's literally the first and second results
>>7879911>>7879923Bored as af did a little google fu. Manual called "あやしい美術解剖図" roughly translated as "Suspicious Art Anatomy" it's only few pages. According to the blog post on official Capcom site it's based/foundation on Andrew Loomis works (huh like what some anon says in here all can be traced back to loomis lol). It's modified to fit video game works, I'm guessing "Figure drawing for all it's worth" is the root of it all. As what other anon said first and second results contain nearly all of the manual. If you want hard copy the book "How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design" contains the whole "Suspicious Art Anatomy" English translated. I looked at YT for page rundown and it has one page that doesn't show up on the online sites.

>>7879917>>7879935>>7879944looks like every anatomy book ever
>>7879911It was released by Capcom, so yeah. You could have looked it up yourself.https://archive.org/details/capcomanatomyguidetranslated/01.png
>>7879950NTA, but nothing new under the sun. The construction is nice and chunky, easy to understand, and it's short and sweet, so it's not without value.
>>7879917when did it get an official translation?
>>7879963English Version of the book: "How to Make Capcom Fighting Characters: Street Fighter Character Design"
>>7879950It's a style guide
>>7879911this looks a lot like that old schoolism class where the teacher was teaching in a capcom style

>>7879935>literally hogarth>it’s actually roomis sensei
Does anyone remember the cool character poses between fights in Street Fighter Alpha 3? That stuff was so fun to look at.
>>7879935>huh like what some anon says in here all can be traced back to loomis lolliterally in the sticky of /ic/, retard. how new one can be? do you even read those? that's why I hate newfags and summerfags so much.
When you get a professional role, they usually have a guide on how to emulate their style. The guide includes asset downloads, materials, software requirements, how to use said software, tutorials on how to emulate style, etc. It's a very common practice. What isn't common however, is sharing these workflows/guides. As that'd be a big nono. Anything you do see has to either be leaked, approved to be public facing, or is passed on through word of mouth/taught indirectly
>>7880912Its eternal summer now
>>7879911This will be the one that teaches me to draw, I just know it! No sense practicing until I have this Holy Grail of art...so don't find it for us too quickly.
any guides to drawing this specific kind of capcomness?
>>7880252is there a larger version of this? character name would be nice too
