Thoughts on Vantablack? Anybody used it on a project?
I want to vantablack my body and become a creepypasta
You can use it on your car, I’m sure that’s not incredibly dangerous
>>7880157It looks like a crappy photoshop job, but real.I can't even really imagine a decent project to use it for, outside of some gimmicky 'whoah, look how black this is' kind of deal. Wouldn't this paint stick out like a sore thumb when paired with others? So it's not like it could be used in a regular painting, outside of that 'whoah look at this' gimmick. That said, if you entered a room painted that colour, it'd probably be pretty impactful on its own, and if it could be projected on, it'd probably really add some punch to those projections... maybe a projection of space on top of it would be cool?>>7880164>I’m sure that’s not incredibly dangerousThe perfect colour to escape the cops in... well, at night anyway.

>>7880157black 4 is cheaper and easier to use. unless you care about the .005% theres no reason to use vantablack
>>7880157vantablack is applied in lab conditions, it's not actually paint or a pigment, the darkness comes from trapping light between carbon tubes oriented perpendicularly to the surface, which can't happen outside of a labthat's why it's not sold, because they can't
>>7880157saw a guy on YouTube use it on a sculpture, looked pretty cool
You could probably create some really good contrast in a painting with this
>>7883706especially if you had some vantawhite
>>7880157would be cool if you incorporated it into some kind of costume.
