Finished this art I made of Super Saiyan 5 Goku earlier today. Feel free to drop any critiques, and you are all welcome to let me know if you think it sucks or not.

>>7880374Head is too big, chin too long, face too big and doesn't feel like DBZ, right arm too long and lacks detail in the middle joint, boots should have their top concave instead of convex from this perspective, neck looks very off, the piece lacks shading.
>>7880374You need to spend more time studying Toriyama's art. Do some memory drawing, and copy/trace his stuff. Contour studies as well. Grab some cheap Dragon Ball action figures or statues to study and use as reference.
I legit can't finish this, my eyes are watering from staring at the screen too much yesterday. i need a few days of rest. i didn't have the chance match Toriyama's art or to finish the legs, and i probably made him too old and mean to your liking. Here's at least a half finished redraw. Maybe it will do more harm than good but fuck it.
>>7883138>chance match Toriyama's artcloser than OhPeh. the hands are pretty neat, simple but very nicely done. OP just needs a lot more practice, we all started somewhere. i have some embarassing ones from 20 years ago i wouldnt dare share again

rework the eyesand go harder on the shadingit needs to feel like you over-shadedgreat piece, keep going
>>7880374I can tell this piece took a lot of effort and I commend you for it.The piece however feels very flat, and the linework comes off as very monotonous due to your habit of using hard black lines to convey everything. If you compare your drawing to Toriyama, he uses lines to convey shape and form rather than just "outline" it like the way you have done here. Just do more 1:1 copies of his work and try to understand _why_ he chose to do X and Y.Also, practice drawing basic volumes in perspective as well as gesture drawing to get a feel for how to convey bodies in different poses and views. It'll loosen up your drawings and make it easier to draw dynamic, interesting poses while also keeping it believable. Keep it up bossman.
