>ANON! YOU GOTTA DRAW SOMETHING!
>>7880515I will . But first I need to jerk off, play video games, and then shitpost for the rest of the day
>>7880539Based
>>7880515Today I started reading "Famous Artists Course"I'll start lesson 1 tomorrow morning because I have piss poor lighting and it's too dark.
>>7880515But I don't have a chalkboard, Rudy. Plus, you got the chalk!
Yheres yan yorc. Yor yaybe yits ya goblin. They made the stars wavey wtf this is impossible
>>7880539That's me. Also>I will draw at 3pm>it turns 3pm>well I might as well start at 4>it turns 4>I'll start at 5 then>it turns 5Repeat until I fall asleep
>>7880824Drawing is at minimum a 2 hour activity, and thats a light quick session. You have to have a full schedule with a gap dedicated to drawing or else you will never draw because going from neeting and doing nothing to 2 solid hours of intense brain exercises (that's what drawing is) is extremely difficult. When you start rationalizing and setting a time block and using pomodoro and trying all these psychological tricks like you're a dog, its too late. You gotta instead find inspiration to draw so that you WANT to get your idea out.
>>7880515Damn I completely forgot this show existed

>>7880515How's my 3 point perspective for ya?
>>7882666Very nice.
>>7882662cool
>>7882666Still looking a little janky satan. The window panels and on the middle building aren’t lining up, and the stripe on the left building that’s going into the alley seems off.
>>7882666the figure looks weird. the front leg should be either bigger or the back leg should be smaller to fit the perspective. good effort though, its a process. i should do one of these, wouldnt even need a reference really, you just stack shapes
>don't feel like drawing, eeeh whatever >10pm>suddenly able to draw for three hours without interruptions, having the time of my life What is this sorcery?
>>7880931I kind of agree with you, but there are ways to draw consistently daily that doesn't require a full schedule. Here's a couple I use:>Stim Stacking pair a vice you like doing and then draw afterwards, I used to do it with THC but it was really getting in my way with drawing so I stopped- if you're a pothead you can do that. I do it with nicotine gum now, it leaves me tired but addiction makes me draw daily >WitholdingSet a realistic goal (start small: drawing for 30 mins- don't over estimate yourself or it will backfire and make you feel worse for not breaking it) and withold something you like to do until that. I used to not come here until I've done an hour of drawing>Drawing gapWhat anon said, during this hour you have 2 options: Draw, or do nothing shut off every thing else. If you have/had a job think about how you can do some inane task you're not interested in without motivation>Daily challengeI draw the most during inktober because of the daily challenge nature of it, works great but doesn't lead to long lasting pieces or your best>ProjectA lot of not drawing is really not knowing what to draw, if you had a specific project with a deadline you're trying to reach along with milestones set for the day it cuts through a lot of resistance, knowing yourself and how much you can really do is important also having the organization to finish a project. This one worked best when I had ahedonia from depression it's so elusive and I wish I could have it back without the depressive pain>RulesetThis one is hard. Get a timer, only use it while actively drawing, tell yourself you will not leave your seat until the certain time is up if you do get up do a hard exercise as consequence so your body feels immediate consequence. I did 2 "10 point navy seal burpees" It works better if you're highly energetic and motivated but can easily wear off when your discipline lacks. It teaches you that you can hold off going to the restroom for an hour.
>>7883100Hey, based Witch Doctor-Sama. Thanks for getting me off the St. Johns Wort.I'm a longtime lurker but I appreciate your in depth replies, I always screenshot them for later.I had 2 kids back to back, went from full time neet to fulltime dad and the adjustment has been... hard. I used to draw 6 hours a day, now I'm lucky to manage 16 minutes. My wife is the breadwinner and my days are pretty comfy, but my kids eat up all my time to draw, and I feel my skills degrading. My only time to draw is at night, and I get maybe 30 mins before I crash. (Although lately I've been depriving myself of sleep to play mewgenics which is.... not good)My oldest loves to draw Moana, but to be honest I'm pretty shit at disney style and also trying to draw accurately with a toddler scribbling all over the same page is... a challenge.I agree with the other anon, I feel like an hour (and a precarious one that is ripped away the second they wake up) isn't enough time to really be happy with what I make. That's enough time to warm up, but then I have 8 more hours before I can get back to it.The mewgenics thing is a phase, I never waste time with video games or shows or anything. It's been a nice change of pace actually. I'm sure I'll drop it by next week.I'm averse to the nic gum just because I am a moody addictive bastard and once I start, I won't be able to function without it. I'm a pothead too and have to hit my pen in the bathroom just to keep myself going without depression setting in. (I am aware of the addiction spiral the feeds)I tried methylene blue on your recommendation but noticed little effect/cost ratio.I take a range of general vitamins and supplements, which I do feel boost my performance, but I guess the real problem is how to keep my skills from degrading until the kids can go off to school. So how do I stave off rot for 5 years? Any advice?
>>7883856NTA, but can you swing it so you get up before the kids and have some morning time to draw?
>>7880515This is the last thing I drew in chalk!
>>7882666>>7882685I honestly can't even tell when the fuck I'm looking at. It's shit!
>>7880515I lost a full day’s work on Sunday in my first ever CSP crash. I’m not feeling it. Tomorrow for sure.
