Parallel to this problem, even if the poor person is skilled, if they're doing this full time they're trying to make as much art as possible to keep food on the table, so aren't really sitting there thinking about deep messages, or the best composition, or whatever else.
The first pass is the last pass, and the rough draft is the final draft.

Time is a luxury of the rich and the successful.
