I've seen people shade their drawing digitally using layers and grey but I can't find anywhere how to do that. I thought it was just using a multiply layer but it appears more complex than that.So how the hell do you do that?>Drr googleFound nothing.
If you can't figure out even with the internet and AI at your disposal how to 'shade in photoshop' then you are hopelessly retarded and can't be helped I would recommend buying a helmet for your safety and a straight jacket
>>7882646They start with mid tones so they could either go lighter or darker with blending modes. If that doesn't satisfy you just use base colors first (this is the ambient color without light basically) then experiment with blending modes.
>>7882697Yeah, its something like this except color isn't added until way later. The character is covered in grey then white is burned/air brushed.Yeah this is useful.

color in greyscale + use lasso tool + something called a gradient map.
