>do some studies>copy some poses>think to myself its time to draw something original>stare at a blank canvas without a clue what to drawhow do you fix this?
>>7883368why do you want to learn how to draw?
>>7883368Pick a random word, use that as a theme/prompt for some drawings. For example, if you choose space, draw some aliens, astronauts, spaceships, sci-fi tech, etc. etc.I'm sure there must be some random word generators... Actually, wasn't there a site where you were given a new word prompt to draw each day? Does that still exist?
>>7883368Sketch lots of quick things really fast, just fill the page with something, just whatever first comes to mind. The boring ideas will come out first but the later ones will be gold, you'll see.
>>7883377I think this is exactly what I needed, thank you!
>>7883368drawfanart, the problem with making OC whie studying art is that your skill still low to express anything cohenrently, it will slow you down. Just do a lot of fanarts that you like you dont have to think too deep about the design all at that, keep doing it until you feel confident enough to take off your on your own OC
>>7883368The problem is that you have no ideas and inspiration. Fix that part first before even touching your pen
>>7883368Why'd you start drawing in the first place if there was nothing in particular you wanted to draw? Genuine question
>>7883369This. Why do you want to draw if you have nothing to draw? People do this because they have ideas they want to express, things they want to see, their favorite characters doing things they find amusing. If you got nothing you already failed
>>7883368remember those funny pictures that appear in your brain? try drawing those
>>7883368Simply you don't have enough poses drawn and don't know a thing about anatomy that's why your brain blanks out.
You turn your brain off and scribble until the page if full. Stop worrying.
>>7883368Keep a sketchbook that is just for things you want to draw / be able to draw eventually. Study things you need and eventually draw the things.

>>7883574wrong thread?

>>7883368Welcome back, Stan ProkopenkoJokes aside, for me it’s gathering inspiration, I draw a lot of OCs and characters from stuff I like so that makes me want to draw them doing stuff, that’s how I do at least, with time this will become natural. Why don’t you start drawing characters from a book you like based on descriptions?
>>7883574Sometimes it's better to not draw.
