>>7884287Fucking typo, ***Draw 30 MINUTES of figures every day*** But also you could draw 30 figs if need be
>>7884288I mean you should be able to draw a figure in 1 minute.2 mins is more of a standard croquis length but 1 min should be doable.
>>7884334one fig takes me an hour
>>7884378Only the structure or rendered? Timed figures are great for building speed. Can I get some tips on taking better pictures of my drawings?
Hands are hard. I don’t feel in control when drawing them.7884579lighting, use a diy diffuser to get even lighting.
>>>7882230Socials?
>>7884813so good. Damn. You've been doing this for a while, haven't you?
>>7884813This is incredible! So much ref inspiration. I used the crouching girl on the bottom for picrel. This is amazing.>>7884847I have a dump thread here >>>/i/824791 Though I need to update it>>7884579Nice pencil shading!
Idk how to word this but do you guys have any youtubers you watch specifically for figure drawing? There was this one small channel korean youtuber that would post his daily figure drawing sessions and his references would be in the video but I never subscribed to his channel and I cleared my internet cache recently which reset my youtube algo
>>7885044disgusting sick fuck
>>78850162 years and a bit more, I've improved a lot since joining the DAD thread.>>7885044Thanks! I've seen your stuff for awhile now, looking good keep it up.
>>788087214, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19?? I dont even know what days these are. Just going to dump it>>7885044Dear lord in heaven, that /i/ thread is fucking legit>>7885060I hate watching other people draw. Somebody made me watch vilppu do this figure drawing and I was screaming the whole time. I fucking hated it. I dont know how people can watch somebody else draw its fucking maddening.. so short answer = no>>7885073I’m jealous. I feel like you used to follow me around and reply to all my drawings with the same comment.
>>7885073>disgusting sick fuckAnon, I sincerely and wholeheartedly apologize for my fucked up misuse of this high art craft. Please take picrel as a token of my appreciation towards you. You deserved more. I'm sorry. The violinist is playing this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEhc0cqXsYA>>7885439OH MY GOD.. I don't know which one I like the best, that epic chun-li or the striking Cammy>Dear lord in heaven, that /i/ thread is fucking legitThank you so much Table! I didn't know /i/ had a 300 image limit too. The thread is falling short of all of what I wanted to post there.>>7885149>Thanks! I've seen your stuff for awhile now, looking good keep it up.Thank you anon! That's really motivating for me, thanks again.
Am I doing this right?
>>7885921Yes anon, you're doing this right. Nice work.
>>7885617I've been looking at your drawings in the threads and I love them. They remind me of Balsamique. One day I hope to at least reach a fraction of your skill.>>7881240NTA. Steve Huston has 2 figure courses in the IC torrent ("Constructive Figure Drawing" and "Constructing the Figure"). Which one should I start with? I'm a complete beginner.
happy with this one from today.
>>7886058I like I like. Don’t be afraid to pus your darks though, even if it’s just the outline
>>7885922Thank you, I still think I'm "missing the point" of these exercises, or something like that. Am I being paranoid?
>>7885044Thanks!>>7886058Looks nice, but you won't be able to escape drawing faces for long. Also, I think you should really darken the pinches so they look with more depth.>>7885952Constructive Figure Drawing teaches really basic stuff, it's really good. The other is when you already know a bit more about form and gesture.I began with the former.
>>7885979brush?
>>7885439Day 20 - i watched all the evangelion rebuild. Mari was the best, she deserved better than Baka shinji.>>7886243Im not a foot guy, but even these footsies are too small for me>>7886219Yeah you are probably paranoid. Just enjoy the draw>>7885979These are fucking legit
>>7886484Day 21 - drew that girl from the ic thread>>7886214Lol i cut off the heads like this all the time. Redraw it next to it if your spacing is off. It’s like getting a extra life and another try.
>>7886484>Im not a foot guy, but even these footsies are too small for meThey look bigger on my sketchbook (they're still too small tho), the pic's angle fucks them up. I need to get a scanner or something. Are yours done trad too? They look really crisp.
>>7886489Day 22 - the kids were drawing XJ9 on discord>>7886494Ya i am trad. Pencil and paper. I am using a scanner. It helps a lot. It sucks for picking up hot pink and reds. I have to post process to get the colors back. But for pencil sketches its great - chef recommends!
>>7886535Day 23 - I guess i am a day ahead. i asked chatGPT to draw an XJ9 EVA unit and it was so bad that i just drew it myself. Ive never been so upset with a computer before
>>7886535>>7886536Amazing stuff per usual, I love your design decisions >>7886489Getting the full fig onto a paper is my biggest recent challenge, it’s crazy. Good idea though.
>>7885952THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You're too kind! Yeah, I take things from Balsamique and Roninsong and other niche artists that I find around. If I like at least one of their pieces, I'll take something from it. lol.>>7886484This one looks SO COOL. It would be a dream to be able to draw stuff like this for real. I would put it on a frame.
>>7885617>>7886851Not them, I'm not a fan of your wild anatomy, but I'd be lying if I said your composition wasn't phenomenal.
>>7886882>..I'd be lying if I said your composition wasn't phenomenalREALLY??! Waaaoow man, thank you so much! That brings me joy. Do you have a request for a figure day in this Figuary event?
>>7887047Sick as fuck
>>7886548I used your figure as ref, thanks for the inspo! >>7887074=) .. Thanks!!!
>>7886409https://filebin.net/3krdjsfnaoas8pnw>>7886484Thanks, yours are always so interesting! I always struggle with coming up with ideas :/
>>7886851blud is on a quest to formulating the ugliest, most garish art style ever made
>>7884813Two years and you can already draw better than me. I ain't the least bit jealous, believe you me. I'm proud that it clicked for you, man. What's got me most excited is the linework, so raw and bold, full of energy. Keep it up.
some more figgys, it kinda feels like i dont get much further with what im doing, anyone has some recommendations ?
>>7884287To whoever did the OP's figure, thanks for the ref!>>7887204b..but.. that one was like one of my best works... I feel so confused.. Are you trying to provoke "art dysmorphia" on me? That would be very cruel actually... I love drawing so much.. maybe I should s..stop..>>7887368You're doing fine IMO. Those figures are excellent but I'm sure you can feel there are little things off in them, here and there, very subtle details. You're in that point when you know you are good and you feel the itch to do other fun stuff. And you can totally go there of course, but don't get lost in it and forget about these important exercises. Look at this guy >>7887198 >>7885979 how loose and confident those lines are, he grind so much already that those figures look like beautiful signatures, his strokes became artistic. You're in the same artistic vibe, but your stroke's artistic confidence is not at that level yet. Whatever you do, or path you choose, you will get good at it, anyone can tell, Just don't get burned out, and always keep it fun. Try to always come back to figure drawing if you feel lost on your artistic adventures, it will put you back on track instantly.
>>7887368>anyone has some recommendations ?more detailed studies that take longer per figure and limb, and even anatomical studies of the muscles, tendons and bones below in order to understand more how the beef is made so to speak. bridgeman can be complicated for beginners, but you are good enough to get a grasp of what is being shown and taught. but essentially from your level on its just a matter of repeating and doing a lot in order to advance. just keep on drawing and compare your old and new stuff every now and then for a little confidence boost. it usually isnt that noticeable if not put side by side.
>>7887198thanks
>>7886484>you are probably paranoidAlright, I'll take your word for it. Very nice work by the way.
>>7887277Thanks! I do try to make the linework graceful, so glad other people take notice>>7887402Thanks for the glaze>>7887368Either think of people in structure such as boxes and ovals and place them in a space with perspective. OR what I do normally is train to see shapes with volume and then kinda measure them compared to other shapes. Also Take your time too I find 5-20 minute figures the best.
Still doing stuff no construction. Getting better I think. Trying to get as few lines as possible. More successful with some figs than others in that regard. Deliberately using reference where the model is scrunched up so I have to get the silhouette really correct.
>>7887402yeah i see what you mean, my lines are more on the scribbly side but i also hate to ctrl+z 40 times to draw one line. I guess i just keep going and hope for the best.>>7887414i mean i did that here and there, and also did some anatomy, but never fully commited to it since it is so fucking boring, but i guess i can´t get around doing that huh>>7888212desu, i really hate the box stuff, i use construction in some way but i would prefer to hone my intuition for what looks right or wrong, and not going full basic shape people, because when i start drawing boxy people it kinda fucks with my ability to make a human figure out of it
>>7887146No problem anon! Lovely work. OG artist is Paul richer btw , his women are great
>>7887585Lovely figgies!>>7887862That lady laying in the middle is amazing. Saved.>>7888212Your stuff is absolutely incredible. Such a beautiful and elegant way to convey form and gesture.>>7888215That ass shot on the upper right figure is my favorite itt. Saving this one just for her!>>7888534That's a lot of work! amazing versatility!
>>7888215Worried I'm getting a little too erotic/not figure-y enough for this thread. Just some painting studies I did this evening.
>>7888437Wow! Which book is referenced in your pic? Those references are awesome!
>>7888751https://archive.org/details/nouvelleanatomie02richArtistic anatomy is great too
