>>7890497well with a signature, you don't have to be specifically taking ownership of the piece, just attaching a reminder to it that you were the one to make it - if someone really wants to, they can remove the signature and per your moral stance you can let them do thatas a consumer of art I can tell you that I like signatures, because they don't hamper my enjoyment of said art in any way while also allowing me to much more easily look up the artist and see more of their work if I find myself liking a piece of theirs. By signaling the relationship between the artpiece and its creator, they also make me feel more connected to the art as it's almost like the artist puts even more of themselves into the art with the signature, like it's not just the piece itself wherein the artist is "abstractly" present, but they're there much more by the act of trying to tether their identity with the art via the signature. But yeah I can see a signatureless art also being interesting by virtue of not being "bound" to any artist, just existing by itself.
