So I made this video for some friends of mine that features a bunch of my artwork what do you think anon?https://youtu.be/AqsXBBHwyNo?si=f3jUOxAZlfhaUR5R
Nothing to say bros?
>>7894479I mean, A music vid on /ic/ is a rare sight, I think no one can really say about it.Maybe use another editing software for the captions other than Movie Maker, perhaps?idfk bro, sorrythe paintings are good enough as is though
>>7894211I like the art and it's also cool to see your process. Especially toward the end how the wet dots mutate after you drop them
>>7894492I used shortcut for editing
very cool, anon. I really like this
>>7894537Thanks bro.
>>7894572you should make a containment thread on /i/ if you want to post more of these
it’s very beautiful. uniquely lovely paintings, skilled process filming and very pleasant song that totally vibes with me. thanks for the share.
>>7894585Thank you very much
>>7894211Process of painting was interesting and each piece is beautiful to look at
>>7895109Thanks for looking
>>7894211I was a little put off by the intro made with Movie Maker, but I soon began to enjoy the video. The music is good, and your artistic process is fascinating. I liked seeing how you added texture and complexity to each painting. It makes me appreciate their complexity much more. Do you have a finished image of the painting that appears at 2:15? It's my favorite of all the paintings in the video.
>>7894211This was really cool, I love seeing art mixed with music and the editing was really nice. But try not to stay in this place for too long, this website is full of people who will suck the life out of you.

>>7895263I'll admit I'm not that happy with the titles, just not sure what to do. I used shortcut for the editing. Pic related is the finished work
>>7895293I've been here over 15 years, it might be too late for me.>>7895310Thanks have another.
>>7894211That's a lot of pieces, what did you do with them after the shoot?
>>7895728Well it was filmed over many months. Some were finished, some I'm still working on and I've managed to sell some.
I think you need some areas of rest, some more interesting compositions.
>>7896077Thanks for watching.
Well thanks for getting me over the one hundred view mark, I will continue to bump with more artwork if anyone is interested.
This is absolutely gorgeous work. I really love watching the paintings cure and all the weird movements they make doing so.
>>7896971Thanks for giving it a look. If you want to see more I can be found on instagram @sierramartinart
Happy to answer any questions anyone might have.

>>7897617what are the methods you use to paint these?
>>7898397Usually I start with the painting horizontal and apply a layer of elmers glue and paint into the wet glue with watered down acrylic paint and ink. You can see some of that in the later part of the video. As the glue dries it wanders a bit and I can create some pretty cool effects. I might do several layers like this till I am happy with the background, then I tend to build up some structure with mod podge and paper strips. I might go and apply more glue and paper to achieve some depth until I'm happy with it.
Awesome stuff anon, it makes me wish I had my own place to draw in such large canvases. It was very inspiring to see your process.
>>7903343Thanks anon!
Are you able to work as an artist for living anon? How long have you been painting? Any words of advice to a 25 yo like me?
>>7904430I never made enough money from the art to quit my day job. I've been working in this style for about 18 years but I've been an artist since I was a child. Get your art out in the real world, find shows, join a gallery or artist cooperative. Price your work to sell, even if people tell you it's low, remember it's only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. Just do the work.
