I always take shortcuts. In school, I crammed instead of trying to learn for long term retention. I have forgotten everything I learned in college.I lost weight not by counting my calories and exercising but by fasting and eating only raw fruits and vegetables. I ended up gaining the weight back and more. With drawing, I simply never completed anything and "improved" by doodling. I'm /beg/ outside of drawing faces at specific angles. Can someone like me really improve?
yes, just keep on drawing and youll improve
>>7895026Sure, if you do some things with the aim of actually improving. Try doodling some images that are out of your usual wheelhouse, but you admire. However, if you expect to make any decent art, you'll need to put in effort, even if you are skilled in art. Drawing good images takes time.
Everyone can improve, but some people improve much faster.
>>7895026if my permabeg ass can improve im sure youre fine, ill post my progress for referencethe number indicates the amount of feet ive drawn so #1 was the very first foot i drewnot that great but a clearly visible improvementjust keep drawing!>>7895053i wonder how relative is itdo some improve after just 20 hours and others take 50 hours?i find that it takes me roughly 25 hours to make any significant progress and 50 hours before im comfortable drawing something specificis this normal?
>>7895313>i wonder how relative is itThe thing about visual arts is that it's tightly linked to just looking. That means even if you don't draw, you can still get better at drawing, just by looking at things. That's why some people already get to a pro level after just 3 years. They are just better at looking and understanding things.
Just because you are this way now doesn't mean you can't change. The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the next best time is now. As long as you try, you will get better. I believe in you anon. Try taking small steps at first, like some really simple studies.
>>7895026>Can someone like me really improve? No. I'm in a similar situation. All we can do now is give up.
>>7895026Do you want to pursue art as a career or hobby?
>>7895028Source?
>>7895026Yes. Lazy people tend to be amazing innovators because of their desire to find shortcuts in everything. Keep going anon.
>>7896439This. You'll go much further trying to cheat and find a shortcut than the mindless drone grinding boxes
>>7896439wrong. true innovators come from people fixated with efficiency. lazy faggots will frequently do inefficient things without realizing it.
